Does anyone know much about incomeplus, IPS? It listed in Dec and looks quite interesting. It pays a fully franked div as well.
IPS was established in 1999 ostensibly as an absolute return hedge fund designed to access arbitrage opportunities in the global gold and interest rate markets – via the Over-the-Counter market used by many gold producers for hedging purposes – that would ordinarily be out of reach of most investors. In its first four years of operation IncomePlus generated substantial returns on capital and made generous fully franked dividend payments. IncomePlus is set to list on the ASX in December 2003 under the ticker IPS. Potential investors are advised to seek professional advice to insure this largely derivative backed instrument meets individual risk criteria.
