Those who have taken profits from their stake in INL, happy with a few extra dollars in their kick and the warm inner glow of environmental good deeds, or those who simply missed the INL bandwagon, might be interested in having a look at AUM.

Acid drainage from copper recovery is causing environmental problems on a global scale. AUM have a technology for treating acid mine drainage. The demonstration plant at Mt Norma (Qld) has already proven itself and AUM has been in discussion with State governments in Qld (Mt Morgan) and Tassie (Mt Lyell) as well as establishing a JV for sub-licencing in China.

Anyone who has visited Queenstown (no not that Queenstown Hermionie, commercial despoilation of a somewhat different order) will be aware of the degradation acid drainage causes. [ Re the other Queenstown, Can some tell an expat Mainlander if the Earnslaw's still running?]

Anyway, a biproduct of AUM's process is copper sulphate pentahydrate used as a fungicide. Australia currently imports $39M worth pa (net tax and retail markup).

More info on ASX 245087

Through Mt Martha AUM is also a copper producer in its own right and increased Asian demand has led to a production shortfall and prices over $2K pt.

Back in October 2003 Fairshare had buys on INL of 5c and 4c on AUM.
AUM is still currently available at 3.4c/ 3.6c

For the foolish or desperate there are also options: AUMOAs (July '06 at a 10c strike.)

Best wishes.
Disc AUM AUMOA (foolish AND desperate).

Thanks for the update
Looks like BUY are ready to make an announcement.
They've played it well - still don't know whether they've run it up for a dump or if it's the real thing. Took profits on heads in case it's a duster
and holding onto my remaining oppies like grim death in case it ain't.
Best wishes.

Bit of discussion on HC re SDL Sundance.
Have Bolivian (obviously) copper interests.
Will have to look at it tomorrow - nothing left in the kitty.
Best wishes.

Caution Re AUM
Despite current disbursement, I continue to hold.
Other less sanguine holders may wish to review their position with a view to divesting.
Best wishes.

Hi Miner
The distressed director looks to have finished his selling.
My AUMOAs got taken out on latest spike (up 50%)
Someone was keen - took everything up to 2c.
Thought it might settle back but the interest seems to still be there.
Thinking of getting back into Gindalbie - suspect it may have bottomed.
Best wishes Newz.

Thanks Newz, have been watching GBG too and 16c looks to be the bottom, next bit of news could spark a run.

And the "$7.34m Entitlement Issue Fully Subscribed",so came back for that but now done should be up?.

According to rumour on HC, Bell Potters Funds Management ran their ruler over AUM as a possible investment for their LIC Global Mining. They must have liked what they saw as Bell's client are reported to be the recent buyers.
Personally I'd be waiting for the present spike to subside before reentering.
Negative: No federal funding for the Mt Lyell cleanup.
Positive: Drilling flagged, stepping out the Mt Norma reserves.
Best wishes Newz.
