Does anyone know much about this company?
The release to the ASX makes interesting reading.
Uranium price increasing ,up 27% from previous quarter.
"Paladin now finds itself in a unique situation within a worldwide context as there are no other junior uranium companies so well equipped to benefit from this bouyant market situation"
Hype or fact?

PDN running hot the last two sessions. Up another 6 odd cps today and climbing. IMHO I think we will see higher highs, and higher lows and a pummelling of the previous resistance at $1.20 sometime this week or early next.

another futile attempt to stay at $1.20 this week. second futile attempt since it first (and the only time) closed at $1.20 in March. the weekly chart is still ok. it may need more time. once it breaks through $1.20, next target is $1,60. if it can't break thru this resistance, there would be no excuse and it would become a sell.
btw, suprised to see someone is still interested in PDN - a yesterday glory! nowadays, Marathon (MTN) is "in".

PDN was one of the darlings of the Uranium industry going from 2c to 120c rather quickly. It has proven reserves in the ground and is moving to develop its african propertiess at the present time. One BFS has been completed and another underway. Look for this uranium stock to be a producer within 18 months. PDN could be seen as one of the bigger and safer uranium stocks and should benefit from rising uranium prices. If you are looking for huge gains though I would look into more speculative uraium stocks like MTN, ASX (Listed on ASX), etc.
Disc, I hold PDN stock.

agreed that it's a safer uranium play. the next catalyst is to get the interest from the "mainstream" fund managers. now that major institutional investors of PDN are all north america commodity/energy specialists. the only major brokerage house covers the stock is National Bank Financial in Canada (i think it's a pity that no major brokerage house in australia bothers to cover PDN). i myself work in the fund management industry, and a lot of fund managers have never heard of uranium. sooner or later, they will. and there is only three listed uranium PRODUCERS globally. they will naturally ask who is the next producer? and we all know the answer.
i'm indeed a rather ardent supporter of PDN. have been holding the stock for quite a while. but the key issue is what does the market think of PDN? ERA has already reached new high, many uranium explorers rebound strongly, but PDN is relatively under performing its peers. Why? because the market doesn't see it as a producer yet (unlike ERA), and the market doesn't see it as an explorer either (unlike say MTN, DYL) as it's already too big. PDN is stuck in the middle! for how long. No one knows!

PDN, seems to be sitting up around its highs just like most of the other uraniums out there DYL, CCO(tsx), STM(tsx), etc. I think when the other uraniums in the North American markets break through overhead resistance (Cameco $60, Stratmore $2.5 etc) PDN will follow them higher to fresh 52 week highs.
Disc, I hold PDN.

Just been doing some more TA with the uraniums and it looks to me like they are in a consolidation phase and forming a bullish descending triangle which IMHO should breakout to the upside within the next month or two.
However, if they break out of the lower boundary of this triangle this would be very bearish and would make me reconsider my position in PDN.
My money is still that the uraniums are in a strong bull market and heading much higher yet!

PDN currently up around 122c at resistance, could break either higher to new highs from here or back into its recent trading range.
Disc. I hold PDN.

PDN up around 123c still working off resistance. Only a matter of time IMHO before we get a break to new highs.
If we get a nasty correction in crude here down to support around $48 then we may get a continuation of the consolidation for another month or two but ultimately new highs are on the map for PDN.

I have noticed that Mondays and Tuesdays are positive for some U stocks, DYL and PDN for example, so I am wondering if we will see a (slight?) retracement tomorrow or Thursday?. A close in the high 1.20's should, IMO see PDN go higher before the retracement. My stop is at 9% - wondering what others stops are like in this U bull market?
Have fun:):)

Hi Studson,
I have no stops in place. PDN is a long term hold for me. Will buy more on any further weakness below 95c.
Regards.

PDN now up to 140c. Looking good at the present time IMO.
Rumour is this stock has had a recommendation from one of the big newsletter writers.
Anyway, its now in a solid up trend patttern. The question now is how high can we get. Fib ratios suggest 155c - 200c could be the target for this stock.

With warrants over equity by Macquarie, renewed interest in the stock. Yes, it does seem a $2 stock (by end of year perhaps). Even for a short-term play (8-10%), looks good.
Disc: hold some

My first visit to this thread and I was hoping to see more recent comment. I normally steer well clear of the miners but having done well in BHP and RIO over the last couple of years (since sold), plus a bit of a dabble in the golds recently, I am beginning to feel the itch to perhaps be a little more adventurous.
If there is anyone out there currently following PDN could I ask if you have any comments to share on today's movements - is the announced merger significant or is it just a tiddler?

I recommend checking the postings on Hotcopper. It gets plenty of coverage:

I'm holding PDN and SMM for Uranium plays...have done very well with both.
