ASX notices - help.

Does anyone know whether or not one can tell when a firm is going to announce a new announcement before they actually announce it? I see with shares like OSH, they seem to go up in anticipation of an announcement and then when the announcement is made and it's not the one they are expecting, the price falls..... I will look at the ASX site and see whether one can tell before hand.

younga you can look at past ann's,say with a mining comp an ann will say they are drilling and expect to give results by X date,Second Quarter Activities & Cashflow Report etc you can find out.

The other ways are grape vine,or watching ie depth price action and vol is a way you can see ann's coming with a lot of them,one that pops to mind is MXL today,the above apply for it.

Nup just picked it up today,find new ones each day,may be zip but worth a watch due to vol(poss drill ann due,if so should be good).

Keep an eye on QRS it's warming up.

Younga: I have been watching too for div ann from JBM,last year paid 8cps on 26 Feb.I have been hoping it might double as did last div. I get a printout from Shaws Aust for each month ,there is nothing on this either.?.

um some of the dates as i can see are a little wrong I enquired as to the reliablility of the whole list, and was given the answer trhat all they can give is an approximation of dates as nothing set in stone blah blah blah, so withing the margin of a day or so this is apparently the way it is.
