I had been there last night. They now have a new presenter named Peter A. Zipper, Senior Vice President, Anglo Irish Bank, Austria. He was speaking about off shore banking and benefits of banking in Austria. Apparently there is no with holding tax in Austria and this bank for last 6 years is growing at a rate 42.5%. Apparently they do not get into any risky stuff. His whole presentation did not have any PowerPoint slides. And I see all the red flags going up. Surely a private banker like him would not like to deal with likes of us. I think my mom can do a better presentation than him. Could not find much info re: him however it seems that he travels around and do presentation in investment seminars as an off shore banking guru. Here is the website:

I have to ask this question.

Why would anyone who can seriously trade the forex not
be trading it for themselves?

EG. 50 pips average a week on 200 contracts =
US$100,000 equivalent to $USD 5.2 million p.a.

Anglo Irish Bank, Austria .....sounds very strange.

Caution urged on money-making scheme
29 November 2004
By JAMES WEIR

Be cautious about sending money overseas through "money-making schemes", because it could be difficult to get it back, the Commerce Commission warns.

Faxed advertising has been doing the rounds in Wellington for a "free" computer-based currency trading lesson from Austrian-based Anglo Irish Bank executive Peter Zipper.

The seven other seminars cost $NZ995. The lessons can be booked through a company called InformForex.

The commission said that it had received about six complaints or queries about InformForex in the past 18 months.

Companies Office documents show InformForex was struck off on October 9 this year. The complaints were about similar "money-making schemes" by trading in foreign currency, commission spokeswoman Jackie Maitland said.

"They are based offshore, so we would advise people to get legal or financial advice before signing up to this type of scheme."

The faxed adverts were sent by Baron Marketing of Auckland, owned by Stephen Baron and Lotetta Neal, according to Companies Office documents.

AdvertisementAdvertisementMs Maitland said people should be aware that it could be difficult to get money back, if they paid and then found the product was not what they expected.

Consumers Institute chief executive David Russell has added his voice to the warning about investing in such schemes: "Don't."

New traders should always be careful of self professed experts and their systems. They are usually made up of failed traders who will take your money and run.
