In two months I have some options to exercise on the ASX and need some cash to do so. My portfolio is quite heavily weighted in both MFT and FRE so it seems rational to use one of these to fund the exercise of options.

Which would posters recommend selling - MFT or FRE. MFT has grown strongly since the start of the year and I am wondering whether it might be wise to take some of these profits now. However, is there still further value for MFT to obtain through Owens (and probably the better company long-term)?

Any advise would be appreciated.

Disc. Have held MFT since it was down at $1 and FRE since IPO.

Suggest you take the top off both as companies as they are not really directly comparable with FRE being mainly courier company and MFT being long haul logistics provider...

Rubbish.

Look at everything in your portfolio and sell what you believe has the worst future. That includes the company whose options you currently intend to exercise.
