Question : when is an upgrade actually a downgrade?
Answer : when it is NOG.
Why : In Feb 2005, NOG stated in its quarterly activities report that the offshore Mangatoa prospect in north Taranaki could be bigger than first thought and might hold as much as three trillion cubic feet of gas.
Now NOG has upgraded its nearby Mangatoa prospects to a possible 2 trillion cubic feet of gas.
The amazing missing trillion cubic feet of gas!
If it was any other company, the NOGers will be demanding answers from the company and issuing threats of legal action. Because it is NOG, one of the NOGers (Digger) is actually trying to make a joke out of a serious misleading statement!
SB - Just what is your interest in this stock?
I'm beginning to think that you are the missing 1TCF of gas[:0]

shall we also take legal action against them if oil discoveries are 50-60mil not 25-30mil as predicted,for heavens sake mangatoa is still just a prospect and shouldnt or doesnt even come into the price as yet

I'm genuinely puzzled. Isn't this a fair question? So why does no-one take it seriously? It sounds like an extremely misleading statement from a publicly listed company which has a duty of on-going disclosure.
Mistakes happen, and if NOG said as much, fine. Have they explained?

If you want to spelt out, it's a simple attempt to ask NOGers why they are so accepting of one thing being said one day and another said another. People caught in a trance or hallucination tend to be like that. ;)

I would have thought you would have learnt by now that you cannot push sh*t uphill - do all the ramping you want on BGR but a dog is a woof woof and nothing will change that to a roaring buy.

BGR? Only mugs who believe in Dukie's b*llsh*t about upgrade strategy and 'stealing' companies from vendors invest in the stock. Downgrades after downgrades - and BGR is still discounting like mad as it refines its strategy to upgrade margins and stores!
NOG - more fun than a barrel of monkeys. Watch the crowd-followers jump in, get fearful with every price fall and get aggro with anyone daring to question their blue skies scenario.
Where else can you get entertainment of this quality? :D

this is getting rather dull and boring when topics are created soley for the desire to slam other members.
I was always under the impression this site was populated by investors and traders with a real interest of the market.
However in recent weeks the tone has slipped to the level of juvenile name-calling and personal attacks.
You people have NOTHING better to do ?
Please just leave out the chaff and lets get back to the job at hand - making money...hopefully with help of some good advice and views from others.

YOUR MAJESTY, I never call anyone an idiot i find it easier for them to decide for themselves who they really are. I find that real idiots like to hide behind false names. This enables them to behave like children and come back with a new identity. The macdunks can say what they think because we stand up and get counted, and never stoop to personal abuse. We much prefer face to face, where we belt them one if they get stupid, but other than that, we try to be nice.
