Is anyone able to give a brief outline of the relationship PPP has with Nog. Cheers in advance if so.:)

I'm a bit out of date, but PPP used to be a subsidiary (50%) of NOG, but most of the PPP shares owned by NOG were given free to NOG shareholders a couple of years ago (capital reconstruction type arrangement) think NOG still has a few shares in PPP. Theoretically they are two seperate companies, but in reality they have some directors in common, (used to share office etc) and of course they have some common joint venture interests.

Thanks kura.If Nog still owns shares in PPP would either co's share price be affected by the others news - good or bad ?

NOG holds a 7.6% interest in PPP, just over 19m shares - bit of speculation around the traps that NOG may have PPP in their sights again to boost their interest in TAP field to over 20%. I think it is just that, speculation, as # of PPP trading lately has not been so high as to suggest a takeover. I'd love to be wrong!

With the successful conversion of the OC's and the extra capital now available Nog will be looking at a range of investment decisions. PPP just might be something they are looking at. A cheaper way of obtaining a bigger interest in more oil fields ?
Along with a few other decisions to be made of course.

PPP is having a rights issue at 1 for 2 at 10 cents. Each new share will also get a new option exercisable at 15 cents on 30 june 2007. Check out ppp web site for full details.

Hi Digger. Cannot work out if the issue is based on 10 cents AUD or not. Do you know?. Thanks.

Lambton I dosen't spell that out but i would say it is 10 cents aus. Today they are selling for 10.5 cents in Aus so not much of a discount. They are however an excellent way for anyone to grab a large hunk much cheaper than on market. My quess is that the options will be worth about 3 cents. What do you value them at.?

This all adds another interesting dimension.....we will all be over-optioned.....but it will mean we are all set for some great NOG/PPP trading years ahead!

This had to happen and the SP was calling it.....a bit flacid lately.

PPP-Yippeeeeee.

Typical mining company - raise $$$ from shareholders to p i s s down yet another well but attach options and the shareholders are as happy as lambs to the slaughter house after the morning feed.

Well, PPP options could take the place of the nog options from nearly 2 years ago. Did well with them and I hope PPP does well too. Especially since I have PPP :-) Tell you what, it's tempting to get a swag more too. A no-brainer IMHO

Delayed settlement - quite a skinny market. Little action until the options are truly listed.
