Trading halts

Thoughts from the experienced...

Scenario is as such: today bluestone tin (btx) initiated a trading halt. I have never owned stock in a coy where this has happened before and naturally am curious. Good news/bad news... who knows.
Telltale factors:
• 1 month ago price slumped
• Then directors bought heaps on market
• Institutions followed OBV skyrocketing
• Price then started downwards again but with low volumes - institutions seemingly staying in.

I guess my question is would a coy put a trading halt on good news?

No way to know up front MoSteph. You'll just have to sit and sweat it out like other holders and hope it is good news.

On what grounds would a company normally put a halt in place? other than it being substantial news ... anyone have examples???

Had a couple of trading halts over the last year pending a capital raising ..... maybe again

Yeh...I thought about that... though a capital raising seems odd if the directors are buying...
