[B)]JBMurc,

You follow some good stocks ...but why would you bother with a dog like this . DIO has always amounted to nothing and has nothing worthwhile to change anything anytime . Many capable men have given up on running this woofer ! So get over it , and get back to your other good stocks .

DIO just makes me shivver ......what a dog of a thing !

-Ever dog has its day ELYOB I sold out of DIO sadly before it reached 9.3c ;)funds went to increasing holding in SBM couldn't wait at current bargin SP, SBM imho will be over $1 once there nickel discovery is annouced
-Frog's Leg Gearing Up for Development- certainly must be the be the major driver for the current sp surge-sp- 9.3c

I noticed on the long term monthly chart DIO has just broken it's resistence at 9c. Past disappointment with share price performance still lingers on but this time it is likely to be different for DIO. Don't brush it aside with a dog's tag. Every dog has its day. And DIO's day may just be coming. Nice hits from recently released drilling reports. Bought a few recently at 7.8c, then topped up at 9.7c.

----DIO day high 15.5[:0]

Investors with an appetite for risk may want to examine micro-cap Dioro Exploration (DIO). After a disappointing couple of years, signs are pointing to a revival for this gold explorer. Until recently, former majority stakeholder and uranium giant Areva blocked attempts to ramp up its activities. Since then, Areva has departed from and La Mancha Resources has joined the register (along with James Packer’s hedge fund Ellerston Capital). La Mancha is supporting Dioro’s plans for expansion and has been instrumental in further developing its Frogs Leg resource with an aim of upgrading the existing resource estimate of 770,000 ounces. Over the past three weeks the stock has soared from 8˘ to 12.5˘ and has duly been issued with a “please explain” by the ASX. A retreat in price would provide a better buying opportunity. Buy Diora Exploration at about 9.5˘.

I see that DIO Director David McArthur put $400,000 of his own money in to buy another 500,000 shares.

can anyone explain what happened to DIO's share price?
Was it a consolidation of shares that has seen it go from $0.17 to almost $2

Yeh Deano, from memory- a 14 to 15 consolidation.

Hoags
19-11-2007, 03:59 PM
Yes it was a 14:1 share consolidation and a spin off of some of their non core assets into Lodestar at 27:1 based on pre-consolidated holdings.

Thanks guys, got told to check it out from a mate a few months ago but decided against it and was shocked to see it sitting at $2. That explains it though.

Cheers

If it was a good buy at .17, then it is a better buy at today's close of $1.94 after the consolidation.

Yes there have been some funny games being played with the SP since this whole consolidation. I bought this one at 0.14 and it was looking good prior to the 14:1 afterwards it has traded as low as the low 1.60s I think. I topped up when it was trading as DIODA. I still don't have my Lodestar allocation 1 for 27 pre-consolidated shares and current holders are supposed to get first option on the other half of the Lodestar shares in the capital raising. All this was supposed to happen last week. I wouldn't rule out a FNZC screw up at this stage tho.

Today was the first day my DIO holdings were back in the green for a while. I think this company has a bright future. Importantly they are a gold producer with an exploration focus. IMO so much more that some of these other gold exploration companies that promise so much. Good healthy balance sheet as well but I have not actually revisited this for a while.
