Been a while between drinks for me - thank goodness for RSN and FDL.

I think that FDLOA are worth a punt at this level.

These annoucements have potential:

Yep...FDLOA good value

very highly rated (ramped???) on HC - though of concern is the sell down by McNeil Nominees....though despite the sell down SP has been tracking positively

Got my FDLOA order filled this morning... so am settling in for the explosive potential FDL represent.

Any whif of macro-diamonds from the trenching results and an instant multi-bagger i believe.

Cheers,

"Premier Mike Rann and State Cabinet will tour the bulk sampling site, in a paddock 11km north of Terowie, tomorrow after a Cabinet meeting in Peterborough"....interesting!!

G'day Steve,

Hopefully McNeils have stopped selling now and the SP can gain some momentum as we draw closer to the trenching results.

With McNeils unwavering sell-down over recent months, I don't think anyone would be aware if any insiders had been accumulating or not. The sell down has blanketed all spikes.
One source of encouragement though is that the 10's of millions of shares that McNeils sold have finally found a home... lets just hope those homes are the fully laden pockets of insiders.

One feels FDL will explode with a good announcement.

FDLOA's are still very good value at $0.006/7/8.

Looking forward to the results very much.

Cheers,

Moonshine

Hi Moonshine,

one bulk sample down...seven more to go (within the next month)....bit of disappointment re sizes and carat i guess, but still very very early days

heaps more to look forward to over the next few weeks as they roll out the rest of the B/S's

fingers crossed!

cheers

Hmmmm....i see FDLOA were up a juicy 200% today.

FDl normally leaks like a sieve, so something positive is going on.

And still going up - on increased volume

Pump-n-dump or something of substance.

Given FDL's investments/royalties getting an exposure to diamonds essentially for free

For those who missed the action, what we have here is a mini FMG in the making.

"

MAJOR IRON ORE TARGET IDENTIFIED ADJOINING
FORTESCUE’S NEW PILBARA RESOURCE

A new Pilbara iron ore target of between 325 million tonnes and 390 million tonnes
averaging 56% iron has been identified close to the massive one billion tonnes
inferred resource estimate announced last week by Fortescue Metals Group Limited
(ASX: “FMG”)."

Of course there is the small issue of drilling and proving up the resource, but might as well milk this for all its worth.

Err...correction...it went from 0.002 to 0.033

So it was a 15 Bagger today!!!!!!!!!!

0331 GMT [Dow Jones] Flinders Diamonds (FDL.AU) shares more than five times higher than
Wednesday close at 5.7 cents on news of iron ore target on the Pilbara. Flinders says an
independent review at its wholly owned E47/882 exploration tenement has identified an
iron ore target of between 325 million and 390 million metric tons. Flinders says it is
now looking at options for further work on the target which, if proven, would be a
company maker. The target is next door to Fortescue's billion ton Solomon resource;
prospect of a Fortescue takeover of the junior company to help underpin its own project
helping drive shares. (APW)

Cheers UL!

Funny how you can do all the fundamental/technical analysis you like on a company, but then something like this comes from leftfield and makes a mockery of it all!

But hey, thats the market.

Anyway, FDL is obviously not a sharetrader stock - just checked out HC and there have been 1000+ posts on FDL today!

Moonshine did you stay in??

Fcuk... no i did not.

Was not in a position to trade today either... so watched the release of the announcement, which upon reading, my immediate thoughts were that this was going to 4c... was pissed at that stage.

You can't imagine my disbelief and frustration when I watched them trade at 9.4c just before close.

However... perhaps it is sour grapes... but this is speculation at it's most extraordinary. FDL have not sunk a single hole. They have absolutely no factual idea whether the Fe widths run into their tenement or not.

Good luck with it Steve, but at a mkt cap of $90 million, these particular comments might just be legal requirement... but are resonating all the same :

"It is also therefore uncertain whether further exploration will result in a larger, smaller, or any Mineral Resource," he said.

Too risky for me now... having said that she will probably go to 20c hahaha.... not.

Cheers Moonshine.

An incredible day yesterday.

Certainly a dodgy announcement, but given the existing FMG relationship and location of FDL tenements, it would make sense for FMG to make FDL an offer they can;t refuse.

Given the strength at opening yesterday, i decided to sell into it - so out at 5.1c.

My 2mil FDLOA that i had all but written off, and were valued at only $4,000 on Thursday morning, I sold less than 24 hours later for $100,000 +...held them for over 12 months so helps on the CGT side....

So off to take the other half shopping this morning!

Yeah - well done Steve thats AWESOME!!!

Guess you'll be looking hard for the next stocks to re-invest that handsome profit!

PS

I just looked at FDL on direct broking - says there was trunover over of $104m which is kind of weird given the market cap is just $82 - is it possible that the equivalent of the entire outstanding stock churned more than once in a day!?

You are in top form Steve. This is like hitting the lottery jackpot. And to think it happens so quickly. Usually it goes up 30 percent and gradually increase in value over time but this one jumped a gazzilion in 2 days. And to think your FDLOA will only be worth half the value you sold for if you still have it.

I was going to say earlier that it looks like you did make one mistake with your FDLOA holding.

Telling your wife!. Thats a sure fire way to see well deserved gains disappear in record time.

My wife cunningly forgets about any previous losses when I mention we've had successful trade. I can only just imagine how she'd want to spend the money if I told her i turned 4k in to 100k in a couple of days.

I'll have to agree with you DH, the credit card got a fair workout this weekend!!

However, it would be hard to hide - she looks after the banking, so I would have had do some explaining anyway when the $100k hit the account.

Though I guess i could have taken advantage of the T+3 settlement window, and reinvested the proceeds before it settled!!
