4 stocks for up to 6mth hold

Basically ive got some extra coin avaliable for investment for a prefered time period of up to 6mths, if need be it can be longer. if those willing can name 4 or so stocks for ideas sake, that would be much appriciated.

You could look at Oxiana (OXR), Anvil (AVL), Australian Worldwide Exploration (AWE) and plenty of others.
All of them have their own websites, plus you could look at discussions on this and other boards.
All companies with hopefully good announcements to come and further developments which should see appreciation in SP's in the medium term.

Six months is rather a short time frame, nevertheless if you want four companies to research ION - IWF - VLL - CDA. All ASX.
I don't mind the choices of Gofish either.
Make your own choice though,these are ideas not recommendations.

If you only have 6 months, don't touch resource
stocks with a barge pole, unless you know exactly
what you're doing, and you're willing to watch the
market every day. Seriously.

I prefer solid, uptrending blue chips, or at the
very least mid-caps. Forget micro caps, you'll
sleep better.

Try these for starters: (All on the ASX)

FWD, GUD, MXI, SDI, PPT, SHV, GFD

These are stocks you only need to check once
a week, if that, and only to check their upwards
trajectory is being maintained.

thanks for the ideas guys, much appriciated. im going to get into a couple you mentioned ruethewhirl along with a couple of miners. ive been watching things daily for a while now. im currently a finance and marketing student with many years of investing ahead, dont mind a risk or 2 at this stage of my life.
