RAC Re-Insurance Australia

Personally Love the RAC Current Chart
" " RAC Depth
" " the fact Instos are Upping Stake........[:p]:)[:p]:)

Love the LOW LOW Price Earnings [^][^]

Also like the RAC very Lowish sub 60 cent RAC share price for us Traders to get Healthy %age increase [:p][:p]:) and The Liquidity is excellent with millions traded every day..

My Personal thoughts(and not financial advice) are: RAC strong buy--sub 60 cents; with Target of 73-75 cents, conservative...

Robbo:):)[:p]:)

RAC: Up 5 % Today and lookin still v. strong....:)[:p]:)

Going thru one of those inevitable nuthin much happening, 5-o'clock-and-all-is-well:...DRY SPELLS;... when nothing much else, of certain UNDERVALUED substance...(apart from those SHARES mentioned before); stares clearly at one and just LEAPS out from the Value PAGE at me;....>>> although some interesting little gentle, swirling river ripples might, be under the over-hanging Willow Tree; & even perhaps be worth casting a few whimsical casts at by lobbing the 'ol dry fly at,... just to see, if a nice 3 lbs rainbow trout; lies a lurking....

Looks like corporate activity might be on play here Robbo.

24 mil volume is unusually high for RAC although I never follow this company before. Definitely QBE would be interested in RAC for their attractive franking account.

This coy got a high amount of value subs. investors such as HHL and GPG.

You Got IT in One Soul Man... [8][8] Top right hand Pocket and Pot Black to you Mate....

re Corporate activity; 'tis the Season to be Merry, and to launch Take-Overs !!--Amazing; and I think we might see something in play here; but its just putting 2 + 2 together; nothing I know of Officially....;);):)

Kind Regards

Hi RAC followers:

Will go Out on A Limb and Make A Big Call....

RAC in my personal view only....(which is not to be construed as being financial advice)...

WILL BE:....>>>... ONE OF THE CHAMPION, predictable Non-Mining Investment Grade Stocks, over the next 3-6 Months...and when/if ( >>> I think 95% probability--stress my personal view only though....) they(RAC) get Insurance Licence: Share Price will go thru the Roof....

Do not forget:RAC have one of the best small cap, SERIOUSLY cashed up; Balance sheets going around... are have almost no real serious Liabilities and a very strong Balance Sheet with; already a HUGE Cash Box, huge reported Profit relative to their size; and all of the Insurance Expertise in-house; ready to literally PRINT MONEY.....[:p]:)[:p][8D][8D] >> when/if they Open For General Insurance Business.......hmmmm....[:p][:p]:)

My view; .... is that HHL(Hunter Hall) are correct in increasing their Investment Size/Exposure in RAC; and that GPG are incorrect; in taking Profits. ...I believe their is a very High Probability that this stock (RAC) will make 250% Increase from current 57 cents price; for patient Investors over the next 6-9 months approx...maybe even a bit earlier....:):)

I stress these are only my Personal views: and will point out that obviously Sir Ron Brierly's people disagree with me...They sold off RAC; thru their listed investment vehicle--- GPG ---this last week [?][?][?]

So, for those who are getting out, and reaching for their: " Attack Robbo with your anti-ramping ammunition": let me say; that there is another ALTERNATIVE emperical LEGITIMATE BEARISH point of view on RAC, which was just obviously demonstrated; by THE Huge Sell Off this last week to ten days through the Fin Review reported;GPG sell off, of RAC stock.

That indicates not everyone, is like me and is bullish on RAC.... This probably needs to be: "weighed up & considered"--- by any future prospective RAC investor....

So then. Why do I --PERSONALLY ---like RAC ???? ...

Many; many reasons....

Will cover some MORE of these in further posts, but will ask those interested in RAC: to study/assess/evaluate ---for themselves: the IAG, AMP, AXA and Promina Insurance balance sheets; their inflows of Capital...and the advantage of having a Very much to be treasured General insurance Licence in this country...

An Insurance Licence under the new Clerp 9 and heavilly regulated & policed under(post HIH fiasco and Royal Commission) APRA and ASIC insurance Industry environment...

IS; >>>...IN MY VIEW .....A LICENCE TO PRINT HUGE SUMS OF MONEY...

RAC: is; IN my opinion only; a classic Buffett Toll-Road...especially in the huge growth arena/area of Professional Indemnity(doctors, engineers, accountants, financial planners, lawyers, dentists etc etc) and Public Liability Insurance; in the newly emerging litigous society in which business and sub-contractors(tradespeople and self employed consultants etc etc....)and Public Places(ie: Child care centres and Council facilities to name but a few) find themselves....

Hmmmmm ;);)

Personally I reckon RAC is potentially sitting on a Govt regualted and heavy demand driven guarantered(if they ge

General insurance industry has been booming the last 18 months. But OAMPS (whom I have held for that period, since April last year) report that they are experiencing increased competition and margin squeeze. OAMPS is a very good operation, so one wonders how easy it will be for RAC to thrive. I note some OAMPS Directors have decided to take some profits the last couple of months, with insurance stocks so popular. I have elected to follow their example.

One more thing: GPG is nobody's fool. They are very accomplished in timing cycles - buying up when cheap and selling when the better part of the upside is achieved eg with Wrightsons.

Dear One Up, Tracker..... and Croeseus(who I should say; a Big Well-Done, and also Thanks for starting this RAC thread, all those months ago ....:):) !!)

One -Up;...>>>... the points you make are absolutely Fair Enough, and noted. GPG IS; a respected Funds Manager, and the nominal Head Ron Brierly and Sir Ron's colleague, also on the GPG Board; Dr Garry Weiss even move so. Their dumping RAC from their Investment portfolio; is definitely a factor to weigh up in considering RAC...

Should also note that HNG and even more so Hunter Hall--HHL--(one of my Investments and fave LIC's)....are also very respected, and in the case of Hunter Hall, they have INCREASED their stake.

On this point; it is going to be interesting to see which insto.... absorbed the GPG stake, bec. although they(GPG) sold down a Big Stake these last 2 weeks--in same time their was definitely plenty of support for RAC....; good strong Upward bearing volumes & RAC even steadilly rose its share price, about 5 - 7 % per week over this fortnight period from MEM; and their is still a much stronger Buy side......hmmmmm...

Also interesting to note where GPG apparently have re-directed their investment funds--namely, Marlborough Sugar...which on face value does not seem to stack up, IMHO....>>>> as the best of possible Investments, for a variety of reasonsIincluding efects of American Free Trade Agreement ??[?][?]..., but they(GPG) obviously might/do... know something of which I am unaware..or am blind to at present !!

Just quickly, might also note; that Guiness Peat(GPG) ....>>>...this last 12 months has not been so spectactular in their Investment Performance, at least by some criteria: GPG's Return On Equity was only 4.5%, Share Price Growth for last 6 months was modest 14 %, last years earnings growth was negative --MINUS--by over 70%; again disappointing minus/negative pre-tax profit growth by negative /minus: 60% or more and over the 12 month period GPG's share price, in a buyoant stock market, has only risen a miserly 7.5%....hmmmmm.....

This would compare with RAC's increasing their stake; insto Backer...Hunter Hall(HHL) with a ROE of, a whopping high plus 107+ %, Profit margin of plus 40% next to GPG's 2%. Growth in last years earings(EPSG) of plus 127+%, adjusted pre-tax prfit of 230% +, and a share price change over 12 months of north of 80%.......

But One-Up I still take your point.....

Also, I thought Oamps were more a specialist Insurance Broking and Aggregating specialist insurance services firm; rather than a General Insurer as such....but I could be mistaken,[?][?]will try to check into that :):)

Kind regards,
Robbo. :):)

Ah, OK, I just stuck OAMPS in the "insurance company" file. I'm not too well versed about the differences between aggregating/broking and general insurance, or whether the drivers are materially different [?].

ANNOUNCEMENT TODAY FOR RAC

Insto: Wilson Fund Mgt (ASX code:WIT): has just paid up;I think approx $4 to $5 Millions dollars TO INVEST IN RAC--or 5.4% of RAC issued stock....:.....as announced today; to be NOW; a significant stake-holder with RAC...and personally I would not be surprised, to discover if Hunter Hall go again AND increases their stake again...from memory of HHL's articles/prospectus or whatever....(I've got a memory like a Blue Whale's sieve...so cannot be sure[:I][:I] ;);)[8D])....their(HHL) mandate may allow them another 2% of the Company market cap(taking them up to a maximum allowed --[?] ;):).... of 20% up from their current 18% of issued RAC capital...)....which would be about another $2.4 millions dollars or so....on[u] todays</u> prices...(hopefully not for long at just 57-58 cents !![:p][:p] )

RAC--

Some folks looking for a DEFENSIVE play I hear ??

REAC RAC might just fit the bill....

Well it could be readilly argued that RAC --Heavilly Cashed Up No Debt Insurer fits this bill rather nicely--In My Opinion Only... of course..;);):)

Note also that on a day when All Ords is off 35 plus Points: RAC is up 1.7%.[:p]:)

Also note the last 10-- 14 Days of RAC's trading history:
55cents/56cents...for 3 0r 4 days--with about half a milllions dolars a day liquidity....then switches UP to 56 cents/57 cents...again volumes increasing with many days registering north of a millions dollars daily trading...and Insto Buying and Fund mgers taking significant Holdings positions--Souls Fund Mgers, HNG--Listed Investor..., Hunter Hall(HHL) Listed Fund Mger --upwards of 19% of RAC share Register, and then Wilson Asset Managers Listed fund Mgers (WAM)....:):)---...

then 57cents/58 cents...again increasing volumes...and these last 3 Days....Up Again to 58 cents/59 cents...

And for those who think I'm Ramping RAC---sorry chicks and chaps...Much Too Big Million dollars plus Daily ASX Volume..IN RAC for me to even create the faintest ear drop of a ripple...

REAC (RAC)

Yep found the other little Blighter thread on RAC --actually; I WAS slightly mistaken, as My erstwhile learned friend croesseus had started this thread on RAC...and so when I posted this must have been the one I attached my Decembert comments and RAC Research to...

If anyone knows how to join this one "at the hip"... to the other in some sort of Siamese union that would be great....

But I will now henceforth revert back to all future posting on RAC on the other thread; as I gather it was BEGUN first !!

Cheers,
Robbo :):)
