Summary: A promising Gold/Silver and copper stock IMHO. Gold grades are good and there will be plenty of drilling results to come yet.

From Resource Investor:
"The ideal situation which could develop would be for Grande Portage to continue to deliver exciting numbers, with the ongoing flow of positive announcements creating a situation akin to Rainy River [TSXv:RR], or something of that ilk, where the share price has been constantly propelled by positive drill data and continued to go higher. In the case of Rainy River, from 60 cents to a high of C$3.85 over the course of several months.
This should not be a problem for Grande Portage on its Merry Widow property, because, as we noted in late-March, “With the regional aeromag map extending almost 12 kilometres in diameter, and lighting up like a Christmas tree, all indications are that Grande Portage will be able to report a multi-kilometer strike length of massive sulphides with numerous extremely large and newly identified targets.”
Indeed, the company has already applied for permits to drill an additional 50 holes which should mean very little break in results flow between the 23 hole campaign now completed, and the next 50, creating constant and hopefully positive news, for months to come".
COMMENT: GPG rose from 73 cents to 89 cents the day before yesterday and then fell only one cent last night while most Canadian stocks fell a lot more due to a lower Gold price.

Grande Portage Announces Drilling Program Underway - 26 New Mineral Claims Staked Adding 12,300 Hectares
VANCOUVER, BC, November 28, 2006 - Grande Portage Resources Ltd. (TSX-V GPG) ("Grande Portage" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that it has re-mobilized drill crews from Westcore Drilling to complete a staged step out drilling program at the Merry Widow open pit, northern Vancouver Island.
The drill program is designed to test the lateral and depth extension of the massive sulphide and skarn copper-gold mineralization identified during the summer drill program. The Company is currently drill testing the Raven Zone (Coppery Knob showing) which is located approximately 100 meters northeast of the Merry widow open pit. Upon competition of drilling at the Raven Zone, the Company will, weather permitting, drill the Marten Zone located 250 meters south of the open pit.
To date, drilling proximal to the Coppery Knob showing has intersected various zones of semi massive to massive sulphide mineralization and zones of massive magnetite mineralization. All core is presently being reviewed, logged, photologged, and split for analyses. The core samples will be delivered to ALS Chemex Labs in North Vancouver for analysis.
The Company also reports that it has acquired, by staking, 26 new mineral claims adjoining the Merry Widow Property to the south. The new claims called the SE 1-25 encompass 12,329.74 hectares and were acquired to cover coincidental magnetic and nickel-cobalt stream sediment anomalies identified from this past summer's helicopter airborne surveys and ground exploration program. The acquisition of the new claims increases the Company's land position at the Merry Widow projects to 35,870 hectares.
Warren Robb, P. Geo., and George Nicholson, P. Geo., are the qualified persons for this project, and have reviewed and verified the contents of this news release"
