http://sa.iguana2.com/cache/3590a0ec519167edcc79c04b27c6cf28/ASX-IMA-335766.pdf

Extract:
"Modal analysis of a composite sample from the northernmost section, near the boundary of the tenement, which includes an intercept of 40m @ 4.4% HM, indicates the valuable heavy mineral content of the HM to be a remarkable 85%, comprised of 68% ilmenite, 11% zircon, 3.3% rutile and 2.6% leucoxene. These channel sediments are unusual features and occur down to 40m below the base of the main strandlines.

Thicknesses of up to 42m are two to three times greater than the thickness of the resource strands discovered by previous Image subsidiary Magnetic Minerals at Dongara, which are scheduled for mining in 2008. The Cooljarloo channels appear to have excellent physical dredging characteristics with a high proportion of free running sand, low slimes/clay content and little induration".

Spectacular 70m Thick Intersect. Mineralised to End of Hole

"Spectacularly thick channels have been delineated thus dramatically increasing the length of channels outlined by drilling to 7km in length (up from the 850m reported on 28 Sept. 2006).
The current drilling programme, which is finishing at the end of the month, has had 186 holes and 6473 metres completed (of a proposed 10,000m programme) in the south eastern part of the Cooljarloo tenement.

To date six separate channels have been outlined exceeding 7km in aggregate in length (refer to attached map).

A number of wide sheet like style mineralised occurrences (up to 500m in width) have also been encountered. These are similar to the mineralisation being mined at the World class Cooljarloo Mine only 3km to the south. These wide sheet like style mineralised
occurrences are generally grading between 3 and 6% (with highs of up to 15%) and commonly sit above 18 metres depth.

The channel style mineralisation, which is unusual and previously unrecognized, commonly underlays and/or is adjacent to the sheet like mineralisation.

The combination of both styles intersected in the current campaign have some spectacular thicknesses with holes 718, 719, 748, 755, 896, and 897 standing out with thicknesses varying between 24 and 70m with holes 747, 748, and 755 still being mineralised at end of hole:..."

"In addition, a new high grade strand has been located displaying similarities with the shallow high grade 35AHD and 28000 strands announced on 8 August and 26 September. Hole 799 19400N 38595E has intersected 4m @39% from 2m depth and the adjacent Hole 800 19400 33565E has intersected 2m @15% HM from 4m.

Further, and ongoing, ground magnetic interpretation has highlighted excellent potential for a further 20km of strands in the eastern portion alone (see attached map) which have not been properly drill investigated. The magnetic signatures of these interpreted strands exhibit channel and sheet like features like those drilled in the eastern parts of the Cooljarloo project (refer to attached map) and augers well for the future economic potential of the Cooljarloo project.

The remainder of the tenement is being reinterpreted in light of the recent data and will be released as soon as possible.
All the grades announced in this ASX release reflect visual estimates from panning in the field which gives the company a guide to the grade prior to receiving assay results from the laboratory. In the past, in the channel area in the south eastern part of Cooljarloo,
visual panning has under-estimated the laboratory results by an average of about 50%.

These visual results are thought to be of such significance (because the company’s experience strongly suggests that there will be a significant uplift in the assayed values when returned) that the company believes is compelled, by force of the statutory continuous disclosure regime, to release them without waiting (as might be expected to be normal) for assay results".

Image's Cooljarloo continues to grow

Paul Garvey
Thursday, 12 October 2006

"LATEST drilling at Image Resources' Cooljarloo mineral sands project has continued to extend the length of mineralisation, with latest results dramatically extending the length of channels outlined by drilling, returning record thickness of mineralisation, and propelling the company's share price up a further 20% after recent strong runs.

The latest results – which returned some "spectacular" widths of up to 70m – increased the channel length drilled to date from 850m to 7km, and Image executive director – exploration George Sakalidis told MiningNews.net it was likely that length would improve again.

"The ground magnetics suggests this is something much bigger," he said.

The 7km length determined to date has been returned over a portion of some 20km of prospective ground identified by ground magnetics.

Image said the latest results included "spectacular thicknesses" of mineralisation between 24m and 70m, with several holes ending in mineralisation.

While lab assays for the latest results are still outstanding, visual estimates from panning of the drill results indicated grades of 1-2% heavy minerals, with estimated highs of up to 10%.

"In the past, in the channel area in the south eastern part of Cooljarloo, visual panning has underestimated the laboratory results by an average of about 50%," Image said.

"These visual results are thought to be of such significance (because the company's experience strongly suggests that there will be a significant uplift in the assayed values when returned) that the company believes it is compelled, by force of the statutory continuous disclosure regime, to release them without waiting (as might expected to be normal) for assay results."

Sakilidis would not be drawn on when a resource estimate would be calculated over the project, but would only say it was "potentially a world-class deposit".

The project sits just 3km northwest of Tiwest's Cooljarloo mine, which is one of the world's largest mineral sands operations.

Image shares had added 22c to sit at $1.40 in morning trade. Up until late September, Images shares were regularly trading around the 50c per share mark".

I see 'Prophets' are rating this at $3.00
Any comments appreciated. Cheers

I have increased my stake and would'nt have done that unless I can see dollars appearing at the end of the rainbow.

If any of the big boys want to mount a takeover, they better do that now before the resource explodes.

I note that this has'nt sunk in on this thread but on the HC thread, it does and eventually will.

Am very positive and if IMA is allowed to play their game fully, then I am looking for X dollars later on (No need to ramp this one).

MAJORITY EQUITY POSITION
CONFIRMED AT COOLJARLOO

Following its aggressive and successful exploration programme at Cooljarloo in the North Perth Basin, Image has earned a 51% interest in the Cooljarloo Joint
Venture and confirmed its election to proceed to earn a 70% interest in this 75sq km project.

Under the terms of its joint venture with Metal Sands Pty Ltd, Image has earned a 51% interest by expenditure of $500,000 and may increase this to a 70% interest by expenditure of a further $300,000 within five years.
As recently announced (ASX releases of 28 September 2006 and 12 October 2006), Image has had considerable success with its mineral sand exploration at Cooljarloo having confirmed extensive shallow, high-grade heavy minerals at the 35 AHD and 28000 strands and identifying several, thick, well mineralised channelstyle deposits with large tonnage potential. The channel deposits have so far been traced over an aggregate strike length of more than 7km.

Drilling is continuing on several channel-style targets identified from geophysical surveys with results from the current drilling programme expected to be released over the next two to six weeks.

Image on verge of proving top-shelf mineral sands deposit
23rd October 2006, 6:45 WST
West Australian Newspapers Pty Ltd 2006.
By John Phaceas

Iluka Resources’ confirmation on Friday that its 2006 profit would be at the bottom end of expectations, partly due to the decline of its flagship WA operations, has put emerging mineral sands player Image Resources in the spotlight.

Shares in Image, led by former Delta Gold exploration boss Roger Thomson, have trebled over the past six weeks on the back of a string of excellent results at its Cooljarloo mineral sands project north of Perth.

After bouncing between 40¢ and 50¢ for most of the year, Image shares began to take off last month when it unveiled spectacular results from what was already shaping as a top-shelf resource.

Image and private joint venture partner Metal Sands were already sitting on resources of about 80 million tonnes within three strands at Cooljarloo estimated to contain about 1.5 million tonnes of heavy minerals, including about 100,000 tonnes of zircon.

But it then struck six channels of mineralisation up to 70m thick with a combined strike of more than 7km beneath the shallow sheet-style mineralisation that hosts the known resources.

These have been interpreted as ancient mineralised river channels that ground magnetics have indicated have the potential to add another 20km of mineralised strands in the eastern portion of the tenement.

With grades in the deeper channels ranging as high as 10 per cent heavy minerals, and intersections in the shallow strands grading up to 39 per cent, Image is increasingly confident that Cooljarloo has the potential to host a resource in the hundreds of millions of tonnes.

Consequently, the stock last week touched a record of $1.55 before closing 6¢ up on Friday at $1.42 on Friday when it confirmed it had earned a 51 per cent stake in the project and would now move to take a 70 per cent stake for just $300,000 in additional exploration. Fresh drilling results are expected within two weeks, and Iluka’s Friday warning has merely highlighted the growing strategic significance of the discovery.

Cooljarloo lies just 3km northwest of the existing Cooljarloo mine which forms part of the big TiWest joint venture managed by Ticor (now part of Kumba Resources).

But it also lies within economic trucking distance of Iluka’s declining Eneabba operations 80km to the north, which the mineral sands giant would dearly love to rejuvenate with a substantial new source of high-grade material.

Given the Image team also spawned Magnetic Minerals, which was quickly snapped up by Ticor for $23 million in 2003 after it too found a substantial deposit in the region, Image is well versed in the attraction of strategic value

REMARKABLE SHALLOW 4m @ 49.2% HM
INTERCEPT ON 4km MAGNETIC TARGET AT
COOLJARLOO NORTH
__________________________________________________ ___________________
Following its successful mineral sand exploration at Cooljarloo in the North Perth Basin,
Image Resources has completed an 83 line-km detailed ground magnetic survey at its
100%-owned tenement at Cooljarloo North about 5km north of the Cooljarloo JV. Four
high priority heavy mineral (HM) targets have been identified with an aggregate strike
length of more than 12km (see attached map). Historical drilling results from this area
have confirmed significant, shallow HM intersections coincident with the magnetic targets
(see Table 1and attached sections, note results are not available for all drill holes).
Target 1 is a well defined ground magnetic anomaly (average amplitude 3.3nT) some
1.3km in length, which forms part of a 4km-long aeromagnetic target (ASX release 27
March 2006) with a very high-grade intersection in drill hole JTN 5280 of 8m @ 28.1% HM
from 6m, including 4m @ 49.2% HM from 6m. This is the highest grade encountered to
date by Image in the Cooljarloo area.
Target 2 is 4km in length and 400m in width with magnetic amplitudes of 2.9-3.3nT.
Previous drilling on approximately 400m line spacings has confirmed significant
mineralisation over the 4km strike with best intersections of 8m @ 11.9% HM from 3m in
drillhole HR 574 and 6m @ 15.3% HM from 13.5m in drillhole HR 767.
The dimensions of Targets 3 and 4 are 1.1km x 350m (amplitude 1.5nT) and 3.3km x
150m (amplitude 1.9nT) respectively. Previous drilling appears to be limited to the
northern end of Target 3 with a best intersection of 3m @ 11.4% HM from 18m in drill hole
HR 600.
Further ground magnetic surveys are planned over the remainder of the 26sq km
tenement to further define Target 1 and to test for additional similar targets. Drilling of the
exciting high priority targets defined to date is scheduled to commence upon completion of
access agreements

Took off like a rocket.. this is a MAJOR takeover target now. no doubt !

"Image Resources has reached agreement with Meteoric Resources to farm out three 100%-owned gold projects at Scorpion Well, Top Well and Mt Remarkable, WA.

Image has carried out preliminary exploration at Scorpion Well, 10km southeast of the 2M oz Centenary gold mine and confirmed the presence of host rocks favourable for Centenarystyle gold mineralisation within a structural corridor passing through the Darlot and Centenary mines.

At Top Well, 85km west of Leonora, and at Mt Remarkable, 80km southwest of Laverton, Image has interpreted aeromagnetic and gravity data to identify potential greenstone sequences below cover and considered to be prospective for gold.

Under the terms of the proposed joint venture Meteoric may earn a 30% interest in 244sq km of granted tenements by expenditure of $300,000 within two years. Meteoric may then elect to earn a further 21% interest by expenditure of $200,000 within an additional two years. Meteoric may make a further election to earn an additional 19% interest by expenditure of another $200,000 within a further two years ie up to a 70% interest by expenditure of $700,000 within six years.

This new joint venture with Meteoric Resources will allow Image to continue to focus on its core mineral sand projects, to which end Image is discussing potential joint ventures with third parties on other non-core projects".

KAMBALDA WEST NICKEL FARM OUT
http://sa.iguana2.com/cache/bd4024abb48a0e0fcd783064aefc124f/ASX-IMA-343556.pdf

"Image Resources is pleased to announce that it has reached agreement with Kambalda nickel miner Mincor Resources NL for a joint venture on ten granted, 100%-owned Image tenements in the Nepean district, south of Coolgardie and west of Kambalda in Western Australia, see attached map.

The tenements were acquired by Image immediately following the release of new state government aeromagnetic data which identified potential for ultramafic rocks prospective for nickel sulphides. In particular, the 725sq km tenement package is considered to have
potential for repetitions of high-grade Nepean-style nickel sulphide mineralisation.

Under the terms of the agreement Mincor may earn a 51% interest in the tenements by expenditure of $750,000 within three years and may elect to increase this by a further 19% interest by expenditure of an additional $750,000 within a further two years, i.e. up to 70% for $1.5million.

Mincor is an active nickel producer from its Miitel mining operation at Kambalda and Image welcomes an association with an aggressive explorer and developer such as Mincor which allows Image to focus on its core mineral sand projects".

Article in 'Paydirt'
3 pages with photos:
http://www.imageres.com.au/announcements/Paydirt%20Dec%2006.pdf

" To date, Image has completed five programmes for 21,200m of drilling, “but I think the project is such a robust one I wouldn’t
be surprised if potentially you are looking at between 50,000-100,000m of drilling”, he said before adding that even this figure may
be increased.
“I might say we are going to do between 50,000-100,000m of drilling, but the discovery of these channels just opens it all up.
“We have 7km of channels identified from drilling so far, but there’s 20km shown up on the ground mags and that’s just on the eastern zone, we haven’t even got to the central and western zones.”

Image’s troubles, if there are any, is that it has chased the channels into areas it has yet to be granted access to.
“On the eastern side we’ve drilled out the channels on the areas we’ve had access to.
The best areas of that channel – from the ground mag interpretation – go right into a paddock we haven’t even got to yet.
Image secured access to these areas in November and is gearing up for a busy summer of drilling.

“It’s going to be a major programme, we’ve got three drill rigs lined up for the next couple of weeks and it’ll have started before
Christmas.”
On the issue of resource estimates, Sakalidis said the expanding size of the project meant it was unlikely Image would be able to produce an estimate before the New Year.
“This thing is so big we won’t have a resource statement this year, I don’t believe, because we’ve only done 20,000m and the plan is to do at least 50,000m.
“We have the two high-grade strandlines and they will be advanced a little bit quicker than the rest because we’ve done quite a bit
of detailed drilling, 200m lined spacing.
“But the channel areas we expect to take a bit longer because they are deeper and quite a bit longer. At this stage the high-grade
areas are 5km long and the channels are 7km long and that length will increase.”

Sakalidis said although the company had gathered some larger samples, it was waiting until it had a clear understanding and established the continuity of the sections before it stepped up metallurgical test work, and with the amount of drilling still on the agenda, Image appeared to have plenty to occupy itself.

At Cooljarloo North, 5km north of Cooljarloo, the company has identified four priority targets with an aggregate strike length of more than 12km.
“There are some very good previous intersections of up to 49% (HMS) in
Cooljarloo North, and the ground magnetics and aeromagnetics suggest these three zones are up to 4km long, one of which is high-grade and one is of medium grade.
“All these results are from historical drilling but there’s a lot more to do up there.”

Again the only issue appears to be access.
“It takes a while because you get segmented access. At Cooljarloo North the magnetics only cover the northern area – we’ve still to get onto the southern section.
“Therefore, we have a number of different vintages of ground mag data we must put together before we can get a clear picture of what’s going on there.
“There are also potentially a lot more highgrade strandlines showing up in the ground mags at Cooljarloo, which we haven’t even assessed. We plan on drilling those as well, once we get access.”

Sakalidis said the newly granted tenements included one target which the ground magnetics had shown to contain a high-grade strandline intercepting a very deep channel system.
“But it’s not like we need to target areas where the two styles of mineralisation occur, because I think the channels will stand up on
their own as a dredging operation.
“They’re full of water, the sand is free-flowing and there is only occasional clay (visuals assays suggested between 14-18%).
“We’ve been drilling down to 80m, which is very unusual for a dredging operation. We’ve had to access a 100m drill because some
holes ended in mineralisation.

“It is unknown in Australia for dredgers to be mining below 50-60m, we could come up with a situa

Dramatic Increase HM Targets from 15km to 95km at Cooljaroo

http://sa.iguana2.com/cache/ccea1d2e0919b0ea0700103acdb37899/ASX-IMA-346745.pdf

Extract:
Map on page 3.

"Ongoing interpretation of ground magnetics together with the results of recent and historical drilling has identified a number of highly prospective potential HM channels and strands within the Cooljarloo project. The number of channels has dramatically increased from 4, totalling 7km in length, to 20 channels, totalling 50km in length. The number of interpreted potentially high-grade strand lines has increased from the two previously reported resources (the 35AHD and 28000 strands) totalling 8km in length to 16 zones totalling 45km, a total of some 95km of target strike length (see attached map).

The 95km strike length of high priority targets and previously reported thick channel intersections are considered to be very significant and place Image in the forefront of potential mineral sand exploration discoveries made in the North Perth Basin in recent times.

To date, drilling by Image has been carried out over a 3.7km length of the 35AHD and 28000 shallow high-grade resource strands, and a 7km length over the channel targets in the south-eastern part of the Cooljarloo project. This represents only about 10% of the extensive targets outlined to date. A major 15,000m aircore drilling programme is scheduled to start in early January aimed at drill testing the bulk of the remaining targets, subject to completion of exploration access agreements.

The programme will utilise a larger drilling rig with the capacity to drill to 100m depth into the channels, where previous drilling ended in mineralisation.
The strand target zones are made up of multiple individual shallow strand targets and have been separated into various groups with high average magnetic amplitudes above 2.5nT, which at the 35AHD and 28000 resource strands has equated to shallow high-grade mineralisation.

Limited historical drilling of some of these target strands has confirmed the presence of shallow high-grade HM mineralisation. It is significant to note that the 25000 and Middle strand resources on the adjacent Tiwest mining area appear to extend into the Cooljarloo project area. A number of lower amplitude targets have also been identified but not shown on the attached map although some of these will be tested in the upcoming programme.

The 16 new channel targets total an additional 43km, 9 of which have stronger average magnetic amplitudes than the channels drilled to date and range from 1.5 times to 2 times the average amplitude previously drilled. Several of the channels shown on the attached
map have deep historical drill intersections confirming the current interpretation and augering well for the forthcoming drilling campaign.

The North Perth Basin is a very active and well serviced heavy mineral mining region which supplies approximately 25% of the world’s zircon, with the West Australian mineral sands industry producing revenues of about A$900 million a year, nearly nine times greater than other operations elsewhere in Australia.

Image holds strategically located heavy mineral projects at Cooljarloo, Cooljarloo North, Bidaminna and Gingin within this active region where Iluka, Kumba (now Exxaro), Tiwest, Bemax and Doral are currently operating and where four new proposed mine sites at Dongara, Cataby, Wagerup and Waroona are scheduled to start in the next few years".

20 years of aeromagnetic patience pay off for mineral sands bolter
PURE SPECULATION
Robin Bromby
January 20, 2007

WHEN this newspaper back in 2004 first sat up and took notice of an obscure junior Image Resources, you could still pick up its shares at well under 50c. Yesterday they closed at $2.50. Nearly all of its rise has come since September.
The big event that made the difference was the extraordinary mineral sands find on its two project areas at Cooljarloo in Western Australia. One intersection of 4m contained 49 per cent heavy minerals.
Having paused around $2, Image was off again this week on news it had applied for another 1100sqkm in the area.

The thing to know about Image is that its exploration director, George Sakalidis, doesn't apply for anything until he's fairly certain there's a compelling target. He and the others who floated Image had, over 20 years, put together an aeromagnetic database and used this to peg tenements that showed all the right signs. Drilling at Image's Cooljarloo projects has so far covered 15km of strike at one. There's another 80km of strike to go there and a further 20km to be drilled at the other.

The talk until now has been that either Ticor or Iluka Resources would make an offer for the project to provide added (and high-grade) feedstock for their own nearby mining operations, and there have been discussions. But Image, in view of what it is turning up, now says the resource is getting to the size where it is on the radar of both Rio Tinto and BHP Billiton.

All this excitement has obscured the fact that Image was originally a nickel play - and still is. It plans to float off its wholly owned areas in the Forrestania region, but the parent will keep the various joint ventures.

At Emu Lake, for example, partner Jubilee Mines has hit 11 high-grade intersections of more than 3 per cent nickel, with one of 6.2 per cent over 2m. Jubilee is expected to want to develop Emu Lake, giving Image a 30 per cent stake in the operation. The junior also has nickel joint ventures where Troy Resources and Westonia Mines are picking up all the exploration spending. In November, Mincor Resources joined the group financing work on Image properties.

Gavin Wendt of Fat Prophets, who has long recommended the stock, says these nickel projects are not being factored into the price, so great is the frenzy about Cooljarloo.

Closing price: Up 17 cents to $2.67

Much earlier, I wrote this post on another site:
"Price: about 2.62

Graph:
http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/interchart/interchart.asp?symb=AU%3AIMA&time=&freq=

With slow STO=80.2, less than last time and looking very well.

The graph can stand a daily rise of about 12-15 cents for some time, IMHO .

I suggested $3 before the positive latest Announcement of 17 Jan:

"IMAGE TRIPLES ITS NORTH PERTH BASIN HOLDINGS
TO COVER NEW MESOZOIC TARGETS
Following its successful heavy mineral (HM) exploration at Cooljarloo, Image has extended the scope of its exploration targets to the older basement Mesozoic sediments east of the Gingin Scarp. The thick channel-style mineralisation discovered at Cooljarloo is
interpreted to occur within these older sediments beneath the shallow younger Pleistocene sediments which have been the subject of most of the HM exploration in the North Perth Basin to date.

Image has applied for three large tenements totalling 1100sq km effectively tripling its land position in the North Perth Basin to 1660sq km, as shown in the attached map, becoming a dominant land holder in the region. The most northern tenement, E70/3092 Cowalla,
which extends from just 15km east of the Cooljarloo tenement, contains a prominent interpreted shoreline feature in excess of 40km in length with potential for concentration and exposure of channel-style mineral sands, particularly on the southern end where a
number of drainages transect it.

The central tenement, E70/3100 Quinns Hill, covers several interpreted shoreline features totalling over 70km in length, which are parallel to and east of the Gingin Scarp which hosts the major Eneabba, Cooljarloo, Cataby and Gingin HM deposits.
The eastern tenement, E70/3093 Wannamal, covers an interpreted shoreline feature in excess of 30km paralleling the Darling Scarp and adjacent to the ex-BHP Mindarra HM resource that, significantly, occurs within Mesozoic sediments.

Using the experience gained at Cooljarloo, Image plans to carry out reconnaissance ground magnetic surveys in an attempt to identify channel and potential strand-like features within the Mesozoic tenements in the near future and to follow up significant targets with aircore drilling".

HIGHLIGHTS
• Drilling confirms the presence of multiple, thick mineralised
channels in the eastern part of the Cooljarloo heavy minerals project.
• The number of Cooljarloo shallow strand targets greatly increased
from 2 to 16 totalling 45km and deeper channel targets from 4 to 20
totalling 50km, providing some 95km of target strike length for drill
testing. Drilling is currently in progress.
• Image triples its North Perth Basin holdings to 1,660sq km to cover
new Mesozoic heavy mineral targets, following its exploration
success at Cooljarloo.
• Drilling commences on shallow high-grade heavy mineral targets at
Image’s 100%-owned Cooljarloo North project.

• Farm out of ten 100%-owned Image exploration licences prospective
for nickel sulphides to Mincor Resources at Kambalda West.
• Farm out of three 100%-owned Image exploration licences
prospective for gold to Meteoric Resources.

• Progress with the spin out of Magnetic Resources with free bonus
shares planned for Image shareholders.

"COOLJARLOO (Image Earning 70%)
Extensive aircore drilling of ground magnetic targets at Cooljarloo continued to confirm the presence of deep
thick channel-like features which host significant heavy mineral (HM) concentrations in the eastern part of
the Cooljarloo project area. At least four main channels have been identified with a possible accumulative
strike length of more than 10km. Significant channel drill results include (see map below):

Ongoing interpretation of detailed ground magnetics, together with the results of both recent and historical
drilling has identified several more potential HM channels, increasing the number of channel targets to 20 over a cumulative strike length of 50km. Modal analyses from the northeast of the channel sections indicate the valuable heavy mineral content of the HM to be 85%, comprised of 68% ilmenite, 11% zircon, 3.3% rutile and 2.6% leucoxene".
