these two look interesting, ALB has a little nickel project.

Dear Sir/Madam,

RESOURCE ESTIMATE FOR NJAME NORTH URANIUM DEPOSIT, ZAMBIA

HIGHLIGHTS

• An initial resource estimate has been completed for the Njame North uranium deposit in the Kariba
Valley, Zambia:
Inferred Resource
5.5 Million Tonnes at 400 ppm U3O8 – 200 ppm U3O8 cut-off
Containing 2,200 Tonnes of U3O8 (4.8 Mlb U3O8)
• The mineralisation is open along strike and at depth with good potential for expansion of the
resource.
• Uranium mineralisation occurs in two sub-horizontal layers, and is of the style referred to as
sandstone-type uranium mineralisation.
• The mineralisation is mostly located within 50m of surface.
• Scoping studies of metallurgy and processing options for the Njame North mineralisation will
commence in the next quarter.
• Initial drilling of the analogous Chisebuka Prospect will commence later this month, as soon as a
drill rig can be mobilised.
• Large scale airborne radiometric surveys will commence in the next quarter over a number of new
targets in the prospective Karoo basins covered by the Albidon/EVE JV tenements.
INTRODUCTION
African Energy Resources Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Energy Ventures Limited (ASX: EVE), has completed a
drilling program at the Njame North uranium prospect. The drill program was funded and operated by African Energy
under the terms of an option and farm-in agreement with Albidon Limited over portions of Albidon Exploration Limited’s
licence holdings in southern Zambia.
RESOURCE ESTIMATION
The drilling program comprised 47 vertical aircore holes on a nominal 200m x 50m grid with a total of approximately
2,000m drilling completed in two phases (see Diagram 1). Drill samples were collected over 1m drill intervals, and were
assayed using the pressed-pellet XRF method. Assay results were announced on 26 July and 6 September 2006.
A resource estimate has been completed on the Njame North project using the inverse distance squared method. The
resource estimation methodology and classification has been independently audited by RSG Global and complies with the
JORC Code.
An Inferred Resource has been estimated for the deposit of 5.5Mt at a grade of 400ppm U3O8 for 4.8 Mlb of contained
U3O8 at a 200ppm lower cutoff grade.

another emerging uranium play in Namibia which are also tied in with Omegacorp (omc) who intend to be a producer in 2007 Wtch this space....lol
Considering there are many uranium exploration companies compared to 5 years ago you need to find the ones that have at least an inferred resource and are in the process of drilling that resource...forget the rest ...some experts say that of the U cvompanies listed on the ASX there are probably only 5% that are worth investing in....sounds a cliche considering all the companies chasing gold and other minerals....plenty of dogs amongst the pack.......
Not sure what is happening with EVE but it looks promising and theyn have a U resource.

EVE is mainly in Zambia not Namibia. Their initial 5m lb JORC U resource is in southern Zambia north of Lake Kariba. Lots of info on SS. They are neighbours with OMC on the same strike with similar grades, depth and type of U (shallow, soft, easily mineable and processed as OMC has already reported).

Maybe part of the reason for EVE's climb....
Taken from a post on HC....

"The guys behind EVE are the Mitchell River Group.
This is Donal Windrum, Alasdair Cooke and Craig Burton.

These are the same people behind

Mirabela Nickel
Sallay Malay
Albidon
Exco Resources

EVE is the Mitchell River Group's uranium vehicle.
They are the ones that brought in Michael Curnow from Exco Resources.

I expect the African Energy Resources IPO conditions to be very favourable to EVE, simply because MRG and associated companies hold close to 45% of EVE and they are the ones controlling things.

The below UK institutions have been associated with the Mitchell River Group at early stage investment. EVE is already on their radars, I would expect at least one of the below to take up a significant holding.

Fidelity Investment Services Ltd
African Lion Ltd
RAB Capital
Framlington Investment Management

Its likely AERL will list at a premium on AIM due to the fact that the above UK institutions are likely to take a stake based on past performance of MRG Group companies and of course the favourable uranium market.

It is possible that one of the above institutions has been taking a stake in EVE already over the last couple of days as an arbitrage play. This would explain the significant and consistent volume and the consistent large parcels taking out numerous smaller holders in single hits.

Just a bit of insight, speculate as you want :)"

discl ...hold and looking forward to the AIM listing...should raise the profile of this company

FACTS ABOUT ENERGY VENTURES....from HC

Eve currently has an early stage JORC resource of 5.5 MT at 400ppm for 4.8million pounds uranium. This is only from one prospect. There are multiple historical prospects on their Kariba Valley tenements. The geology of the resource is Karoo sandstone and like OMCs the recovery rates will be high at 90%. Eve actually has a larger landholding in the Kariba value than OMC though OMC has more historial targets. Some of Eve's historical target include Namekande, Siamboka, Chisebuka.

Eve second stage drilling and exploration program has just started. This will focus on the Njame prospect where the existing resource which is still open is located. They will also be doing focused radiometric surveys of the Kariba Valley, Luano and Luangwa valley.
A large section of the Kariba Valley, particularly to the north is unexplored and these radiometrics should highlight further targets.

The northern Luangwa valley tenements are a short distance from Paladins Kayelekera just on the other side of the border in Northern Zambia and look very prospective from the regional scale radiometrics. Eve also hold tenements in Malawi and Botswana. They were also trying to obtain tenements in Zimbabwe with talk of a possible JV with Chinese interests though this doesn't look likely now.

The management is solid. Eve's Chairman is Ian J Duncan who is the former general manager of Olympic Dam. He was also chairman of the World Nuclear Association from 1995 - 96. Also has a PHD focusing on radioactive waste management. Pretty good credentials for a Uranium junior. Also has Michael Curnow former director of Adamus resources and Exco Resources.

EVE currently plan to list on the London Stock Exchange on AIM through an IPO of African Energy Resources Limited their 100% owned subsidiary in late November.

The ASX is generally not very efficient at valuing juniors particularly those with projects in Africa
or in general those with projects outside Australia. The listing on AIM is beneficial as it gives the company greater exposure and ability to raise finances at a premium and with less dilution. Examples of ASX listed companies that have looked to overseas markets such as AIM and the TSX include Moto Goldmines, Equinox Minerals, Albidon, Paladin, Bolnisi Gold, Aquarius Platinum and Centamin Egypt.

Here's a short snippet on the AIM listing details.

"The recent production of an inferred uranium resource at the Njame North prospect has confirmed the geological model and resource potential for the Projects held by African Energy to host economic uranium mineralisation. As a result the Board of Energy Ventures has resolved to proceed with the proposal to list African Energy on the AIM in London to access the substantial funding requirements that will be necessary for the rapid advancement of these Projects. The London capital market has a long history of investment in African resource projects and African Energy’s initial enquiries regarding a possible listing have received strong interest from potential London based investors. Under the proposed listing plan, Energy Ventures will remain the major shareholder in African Energy, with new shares to be offered by African Energy under an IPO capital raising on AIM which would fund a major exploration campaign including extensive drilling programmes, feasibility studies and further geophysical surveying.

It was the assessment of the Directors of Energy Ventures that a successful African Energy capital raising and listing on AIM would provide the best financial and strategic result for both the Company and existing shareholders by limiting the dilutive impact of further fund raising's required to directly fund African Energy’s ongoing operations, and importantly the potential to provide a positive revaluation of the African Energy assets by the AIM market."

I wouldn't be surprised to see some UK institutions come on board through the AIM listing, particularly the likes of RAB capital who already have a stake in OMC and have been increasing their hold

Here is some background from Albidons website...EVE's JV partner

http://www.albidon.com/jvUranium.html

Uranium

Albidon Limited and Energy Ventures Limited (EVE) subsidiary African Energy Resources Pty Ltd (African Energy) have entered into an agreement for the exploration and development of a number of uranium and coal prospects that have been identified on Albidon’s tenements in Zambia.

Under the Agreement A$500,000 will be spent by African Energy within two years to maintain an option to enter a Joint Venture on one or more project areas.

Following these programmes African Energy may earn a 30% interest in each project area selected by it for farm-in by expending A$1 million on the selected project area, and may then proceed to earn a 70% interest by drilling up a JORC Indicated Resource and completing a Prefeasibility Study.

The Agreement enables Albidon to remain focused on developing its nickel projects in southern Africa while adding value to its tenements through the funding and expertise provided by a specialist energy exploration company.

Significant thickness of uranium mineralisation intersected in initial drilling at Njame North prospect, Kariba Valley:
NJN-15D: 10m @ 760ppm equivalent U3O8 from 34m
Including: 1m @ 1065ppm equivalent U3O8 from 35m
And: 1m @ 2200ppm equivalent U3O8 from 41m
BACKGROUND

Energy Ventures Ltd, through it’s subsidiary African Energy Resources PL, is undertaking a A$500,000 exploration program over two years to maintain an option to enter a Joint Venture with Albidon on one or more project areas. African Energy may earn a 30% interest in each project area by expending A$1 million on the selected project area, and may then proceed to earn a 70% interest by completing a Prefeasibility Study on a JORC Indicated Resource.

Energy Ventures Limited is an ASX-listed company specialising in the exploration of uranium, coal and coal-bed methane projects in Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Malawi. The company is operated by experienced Africa-based exploration management and chaired by Dr Ian Duncan who, through a number of previously held senior management positions at WMC’s Olympic Dam Operations, has extensive experience of all technical and commercial aspects of the development of energy minerals projects.

Albidon’s uranium prospects comprise a number of occurrences of mineralisation within sediments of the Karoo Basin which is the host sequence for several uranium deposits in southern Africa. The prospects were identified during uranium exploration of the Kariba Valley in the 1970’s and early 1980’s. During this time a large number of sandstone-hosted uranium prospects identified by radiometric surveying were mapped and sampled, with limited drilling.

African Energy’s evaluation of the historical data related to these programs has led to the recognition of four high priority prospects for early drill testing: Njame North, Njame South, Chisebuka and Munyumbwe ‘A’. The initial objective of the drill program is to confirm the historical reports of uranium mineralisation at these prospect’s, establish initial resources where possible and undertake more thorough testing of major radiometric anomalies identified from earlier surveying.

DRILLING UPDATE

African Energy Resources commenced drilling of the Njame uranium prospects within the Albidon Limited joint venture areas on 3 May 2006.

The Njame Prospect is located approximately 85km south of Zambia’s capital city Lusaka (see Diagram 1 below). The first stage of aircore drilling at Njame North and Njame South prospects has been completed. At Njame North, twenty-one vertical aircore drill holes have been drilled for a total of 897m (see Diagram 2 below). Drill samples have been submitted for assay using the pressed-pellet XRF method.

Significant uranium mineralisation was intersected over a thickness of 10m in the first drillhole for which assays are available, as shown in the following table:

Announcement today... good stuff

African Energy Closes Placement Oversubscribed

The Board of Energy Ventures is pleased to announce that its subsidiary African Energy Resources Guernsey has successfully completed a GBP 2,625,000 exempt placement to sophisticated and institutional investors, which has been
closed oversubscribed.

African Energy, focused on developing its uranium exploration projects in Southern Africa, closed the placement after raising GBP 2,625,000 (equivalent of US$5,000,000) through the issue of 8,750,000 shares at 30 pence each. Following the allotment of these shares, Energy Ventures shareholding in African Energy will be diluted from 100% to 79%.

The proceeds from the raising will fully fund African Energy’s exploration programme for 2007, which will primarily include airborne surveys, radiometric surveys, exploration drilling and resource studies on the Njame North prospect.

Listing in early 2007
The Company announced on 3 October 2006 it was pursuing a potential AIM listing of African Energy. After successfully completing this placement, it is now the intention of the Board’s of both Energy Ventures & African Energy to pursue an ASX or AIM listing in early 2007 following the strong interest received from uranium focused investment funds to participate in the placement in African Energy and a future IPO.

Further information will be provided to the market regarding the proposed listing of African Energy following any material future developments.

The story is still the same, will be interesting to see how the upcoming listing(s) go.

denpal

The problem is dilution, don't like to see so much of that.

For a start they have only a 70% interest in the ALB JV areas where the current resource is (plus they have their own separate 100% areas), and now they have effectively diluted their interest in African Energy to 80% approx plus issued more shares in EVE to raise more money there causing a further round of dilution.

They will have to find a bunch of U to overcome all this slippage IMO.

For example 5m lbs resource * 70% * 80% = 2.8m lbs belong to EVE.

Of course the great unknown is that their exploration areas are quite large and in prospective locations, which could offset the dilution. Now that they have plenty of cash, they can get really busy drilling.

For me, I am backing neighbour OMC as much more advanced and they own 100% of their deposits. OMC could conceivably buy EVE's nearby deposits or toll-treat.

DYOR, holder

SCHUMACHER
30-11-2006, 02:24 PM
Hi denpal....dilution always has an effect but lets face it they only have 200 million on issue and good management....it is obvious they will need to capital raise to allow them to continue with the drilling programme...all mining companies have a similiar problem.....still relatively low share issue compared with some U companies upwards of 600 million on issue....
here is an articel that may give you a better insight into EVE and who is behind it....cheers Schu

"strong interest received from uranium focused investment funds to participate in the placement in African Energy and a future IPO."

Taken from the company announcement. The above specialist uranium fund would no doubt be Geiger Counter limited as they have expressed previously an interest in the tenements. Geiger counter also has an interest in Wild Horse Energy (WHE).

The reasons why a specialist uranium fund is interested is because they recognise Eve's subsidiary African Energy Resources as one of the better uranium juniors out there.

The tenements are substantial at greater than 45,000km square. These tenements cover known historical targets in the Kariba valley and a very short distance from Omegacorps (OMC) tenements. They already have one early stage JORC resource at Njame with multiple hostorical targets with known mineralisation that are to be drilled early next year. These include Siamboka, Namekande, Munyumbe and Chisebuka. The Kariba Valley is still relatively unexplored and its liekly that they will come up with further targets as they progress just like OMC has.

The northern Luangwa Valley tenements are within 30km of paladins Kayelekera. They also have tenements in Malawi and Botswana that have radiometric anomalies.

Management are rock solid, EVE has the backing of the MRG group behind African energy. This includes Craig Burton, Donal Windrim and Alisdaire Cooke. These guys have experience and the financial backing and connections to get a company from exploration to production. These were the same group that backed Sallay Malay into production. They are also moving Albidon to production.

EVE has the formal general manager of BHP Olympic Dam on board as director in Ian Duncan. Ian is also former chairman of the World Nuclear association so has some of the best credentials in the Uranium industry.

It also seems very likely now that they will be bringing in another asset to EVE with the 3.77 million raised from the private placement. EVE has the connections through MRG to bring in another asset quickly and likely already have something lined up.

Craig Burton through Hercules Energy was involved with the acquisition of the Uranium assets that make up Wild Horse Energy's portfolio. Alisdaire Cooke and Donal Windrim brought the African Energy Resources to EVE for a large stake in the company. All are major holders and combined with their associated companies hold around 50% of EVE. They have already sugested that they have another asset lined up.

"The funds raised from this placement will enable Energy Ventures to actively pursue new investment opportunities. The company is currently targeting a number of opportunities in the energy sector that will compliment its existing investment portfolio"

These guys have the ability to acquire and inject new assets into EVE and also progress the current assets to production quickly. The MRG group has been very successful at riding the Nickel Boom through MBN, SMY and ALB and they now intend to ride the Uranium boom through EVE.

EVE has all the fundamentals required to be an excellant long term hold and not just a short term trade like some of the overvalued uranium plays out there.

More uranium.......

Highlights:
• A programme of helicopter-borne radiometric surveying has been completed over five project
areas in Zambia, totalling 8,864 line-km and covering approximately 4,500 square km.

• A total of 15 uranium anomalies have been identified from these surveys:

African Energy Projects (100% equity):
o 6 uranium anomalies have been identified at the southern end of the North Luangwa Valley
Project, with a further 2 anomalies identified at the northern end of the Project, approximately 100km to the southwest of Paladin’s Kayelekera Project.

Joint Venture Projects (African Energy can earn up to 70% equity from Albidon Limited):
o 2 uranium anomalies have been identified at the Chirundu JV Project within 15 to 30km of
the Njame North prospect.
o 2 uranium anomalies have been identified in the Luano Valley Project.
o 3 uranium anomalies have been identified in the Sinazongwe blocks of the Kariba Valley JV
Project.

• These 15 new anomalies and 7 previously identified anomalies in the Kariba Valley JV Project will be field checked and prioritised for reconnaissance drill testing to commence in early April, subject to seasonal rains.

EVE on the surge again today....has hit an intraday high of 33c
currently at 32.5c on good volume for EVE considering it is tightly held....if it holds at the close expect a re test of previous highs
