I bought Auckland Airport shares when they first come out in 1999, through a broker. They were the only shares I had ever bought.
Just this year, I have signed up with ASB Securities, where I have bought online with them, shares in several Australian and New Zealand companies.
When I come to sell my Auckland Airport Shares, I would like to sell them, online thru ASB Securities, how would I go about that?, since I didn't but them thru ASB Securities.
No problem as long as you can quote shareholder number and have a FIN (4 digit identifier issued by share registry) which you would have been given when you bought the shares.

All you need is your csn number for those shares and the fin number for those shares.
ASB might have given you new csn or fin for your shares brought thru them. So there is a chance you have two csn numbers and two fin numbers.
This is what happened to me.

If you ring ASB Securities 0800 272 732 and select option 2 one of their staff will be able to assist you I am sure
They are generally very helpful

I found that when I bought in an IPO that those shares didn't have a CSN, they had a thing called a `shareholder number'. If you can track down a copy of your original contract note, or a dividend statement, this should have the number you require.
Though quite why anybody would want to sell Auckland Airport shares is beyond me.
Is that you, Mr Hubbard? [:p]

Thanks to everyone for all the info. Yes I now have two csn numbers and two fin numbers.

I'm with Placebo on this one. Why the ---- would you want to sell AIA, brett? One of the strongest stocks on the NZX IMO. Only a disaster like a terrorist attack hitting international traffic worldwide could turn this stock away from its steady growth path.

I actually dont want to sell them at the moment, but I'm thinking in a years time,or if it hits $3, maybe it will be worth selling?

Put a sell order with your broker @ $3.00 then and see if they sell - they might within the time frame and you will be happy?
