Im back folks after many months away....so here is my tip for 2008

Came across this stock a few weeks ago......Uranium tenements in Southern Africa/Northern territory aussie/and W.A

here is some information for readers:
IAN SCOTT (exCHIEF GEOLOGIST OLYMPIC DAM)
Ian Scott, a graduate of the WA Institute of Technology (now Curtin University of Technology), and a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and the Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists, has spent his career since 1972 with the two mining majors Western Mining Corporation (?WMC?) and Mount Isa Mines. At WMC from 1986 he was involved with the development, from pre-production through a series of major expansions, of Olympic Dam, the largest underground base metals mine in Australia. As Chief Geologist and Geology Manager of Olympic Dam from 1995 to 1998 he saw the mine into production, and as head of department he managed the geology function as WMC more than doubled Olympic Dam?s production to 200,000 tons of copper and 4,600 tons of uranium a year by 1999

Actually its been over a year since i last posted....some of you may remember me as WATSON ....who started a few threads .....TOX was one of them which made me a very rich man.......so here is my pick for 2008.....closed on friday at at 2.2c

NOW the reason why i like this stock is that they have some potentially very good tenements and more importantly they backdoor listed via Retail Star which in time will be changed to reflect their market sector (MINING).
LOTS OF THINGS HAPPENING FOR 2008 AS I POINTED OUT IN MY PREVIOUS EMAIL.
i WILL TRY AND ANSWER SOME of your questions as i have done a fair amount of research ......cheers Schu

Just perusing my charts and we are nearing the final stages of an ascending triangle breakout....looks like once we are over 2.2c we have a potential price target of 2.7 to 2.8c"

Thiere has been major acumulation in the past few weeks and with top 20 holding 37% of total issued capital ....
Currentl cash position is approx $1.8 million with around 590 m shares on issue

Major shareholder is RED ROCK RESOURSES who hold 140 million shares in RSL
The director of RRR is Andrew Bell who basically offered the MD position to Ian Scott as their intention is to steer ALL of the U assets into RSL......I have identified the two U leases in AFRICA above and the respective 2008 programs.....Schu

P.S Red Rock have recently bought a sizable holding in MDX which have Iron Ore tenements very near some of the RSL leases in N/T= NORTHERN TERRITORY

RSL,s highest closing price was 4.3c on 8th May 2007...i think it was based on the following announcement:

Retail Star Limited (Retail Star) agrees to acquire 100% of uranium exploration company ?
Orion Exploration Pty Ltd (Orion)
Highlights
? Retail Star has reached agreement to acquire 100% of the issued capital of Orion,
a uranium exploration company, subject to certain conditions being satisfied and
shareholder approval.
? Orion is targeting uranium mineralisation at five projects in the Northern Territory,
two of which are located in the highly prospective Rum Jungle Uranium field and
one in Western Australia.
? Orion has identified a number of targets at Edith River and Woolgni and, subject to
the completion of this transaction, will compile and interpret all available
information with a view to commencing RAB drilling on the warranted targets.
? Orion?s parent company, Red Rock Resources Plc (Red Rock), is applying for
exploration licences in Africa and these tenements will also form part of the
package if granted.
? The consideration payable for the acquisition of Orion and the Australian related
assets is $1.5 million in cash. In order to fund the acquisition, Red Rock has
agreed to subscribe for 80,000,000 shares, 20,000,000 options and 20,000,000
performance shares in Retail Star for a total subscription sum of $1.5 million.
? Red Rock will receive a further 60,000,000 performance shares in consideration of
Retail Star being transferred the exploration licences located in southern Africa
upon grant.
? As part of the transaction, Retail Star intends to raise a further $562,500 by the issue
of 37,500,000 shares at 1.5 cents each, part of which will be used to fund the
further development of the tenements.

I stumbled over RSL on one of the Australian sites prior to Christmas and was attracted largely by the credentials of Ian Scott, as you point out, a key man in the development of the Olympic Dam mine. I almost took a position, shortly before the SP had a run from around 2c to 3.5c; would have been a nice trade but I'm sure I would have ridden it up and back without selling!

I hesitated as I couldn't work out why a "gun" like Scott would leave a high profile position with BHP to go and head up a start-up company. I guess, in retrospect that there could be many reasons and that it is pointless to try and rationalise someone else's actions.

Oh well, no harm done. RSL are back where they were at that time and I can have another look at them. Only the market mood has changed!

Thanks for the heads up by the way :)

I've been reading about this one Schu.

My first impression was that it was a bunch of accountants that wanted to get into the U euphoria, so did a backdoor listing and bought themselves some tenements and a geologist.

Maybe 12 months ago when U stocks were trendy, but looks a bit flimsy in this market.

No drilling until the end of the year. They've got no cash. They're issuing new shares almost weekly. And they didn't release a quarterly report last quarter.

I'm not sure what the attraction is?

Hi Serpie.....they have $1.8 million cash which will take them into 2009 as the cash burn is around $250-300k per quarter they wont need any more money until they identify drill targets so capital raising wont be in the fore front of their minds right now.....

They have a busy program for 08 and their goal is to have drill targets identified by final quarter 2008
They are not issuing shares every month or week ....lol .

The shares recently issued were to pay for the recent Malawi leases from RED ROCK ....this is part of the play in that Andrew Bell is on the board of both RED ROCK AND RSL and he wanted IAN SCOTT to run the ship at RSL as he is the U expert ...Ian accepted based on the opportunity that exists.....some of their radio- metric anomolies have shown some excellent drill targets........as soon as the rainy season is over they have a team going to ground to commence work so basically there are lots of things happening at the moment.....understand the U price has dropped off at the moment but thats short term IMHO
Juast look at the likes of BLR/WMT/PDN/DYL /URA AGS and so on who all have had their market cap more than halved......cheers
cheers Schu

They had $1.8M cash at the end of October 2007, so I'd assume that they have about $1.3M at the moment. But if they're ramping up their exploration on 08 then their cashburn will increase significantly won't it?

They issued new shares on 09/01/08, 15/01/08, 17/01/08, 23/01/08 and 12/02/08 - that's 5 issues in 5 weeks, not to mention an earlier issue in December 07.

Still not convinced Schu, but you've obviously done a lot of research into this one, so hopefully it flies for you.

Cheers
Serpie.

Serpie, anything is possible, currently im looking at the ascending triangle breakout pattern that has been forming for a few weeks......looks like a high probability of a breakout by end of this week being 29th February......big resistence at 2.4c but if she gets through , price target is 2.8c then to 3.2c (next resistence level)

last traded at 2.2c .....keep an eye on the price movement this week....cheers Schu
