Im shifting house in a few weeks, I have shares in about 12 Aussie companies, Do I have to let them all know that I moving, do I just tell my share Broker (Online with ASB) who do i contact? I do all my sharetrading online, but I get a ton of snail mail from the companies that I own shares in
Do I have to write to all of them to let them know? Or is there someone in Australia, That I have to contact???
Hi brettdale
Don't use ASB but etrade lets you update your address etc online in your account details
Maybe have a look there
Someone using ASB mae be able to help more

Brettdale All the registries must be notified some you can do on line some you cannot depends on how your shares are registered look at your certicates to find the different registries you will have to tell your broker anyway.

Im with ASB & ASB Sec.
I use a margin lending (nominee a/c) - so ASB Sec do all the work for you.
They will have details of your CHESS number, & what registrys the companies are with.
Ask them about it 0800 732 732

Brettdale,
Not really an answer to your question, but consider getting a post office box for your mail, if you think you will remain in the same area for an extended period. I gave up on house delivery mail years ago.
A post office box costs around $130 per year (tax deduction) and there's a lot of advantages.
You can go on holiday/travel overseas etc and not have to worry about your mail in your home mail box.
You don't need to advise people of your new address when you move houses.
A courier can clear the box on your behalf and deliver the mail to you.
and so on...
The main disadvantage is that it is not so convenient - you have to go to the post office box to clear.
I used to use ASB Securities some years ago. I now use eTrade and FPM for aus trading. It's well worth moving to an aussie based broker!

The PO Box is the way to go, makes life much simpler. I only clear mine once a week as I am not desperate to receive my bills...
