Anyone following? Way off their highs but nice bounce of about 90c recentlywith a better run this week. Restructuring proposal must be due any time, I'm picking a 2 or 3 way split.

Hi Tim, there must be money in this one eventually. Not too long ago, they turned down an offer ....nearly $3.00 for the company. With the SP now looking to recover from being oversold.
Discl: Holding GRD

I still hold too - the story seems fine but the price tanked over 50% twice that of the market down turn yet there was no bad news, thats why I'm a bit suprised. The stock has done this before and when it runs it runs hard, might be that time again?

Put a bid in to buy some more but was a bit light on my offer, looks to have reasonable momentum.

I have been following this outfit (since the middle ages)...a while back a competitor tried to buy GRD for over $3.....since then bad news plus the "mkt" has driven it down to approz 20 cents.....today up 27 %...this occured a few months ago also on fairly solid volumn...to my meagre reckoning there are those who continue to buy...like me...you still in tim23-airedale ?

Thanks for bringing this to our attention Troyvdh
It has broken its medium term trendline on volume.
This Bodes well for GRD

Yes, a strange little beastie this GRD. There was an offer to buy the company of around $3/share some time ago. I should have sold then but didn't. Then Kerry Stokes [the billionaire...Channel 7...Wesfarmers etc]....paid $2/share for a slice of the company. Then they sold their unprofitable holding in the Sydney rubbish recycling so that was a recent positive.
On the strength of yesterday's big price and volume increase I bought some more. I think that Stokes is still a holder.

I suppose after an approx movement of 50-60 % in two days a question will be asked shortly.

Well mate, not many people contributing to the ASX side of the board these days, quite a few reading but not many with much to say.
I can post a chart on anything, but don't know **** about the company so cant comment with anything decent.
In the Bull market of yesteryear people just talked on hype which bounced off each other, all those guys are gone and went broke some time ago. Bigger Forums have enough new green blood and the old hands to keep the threads ticking over.
The Volume spike which occurred on the 26th has now shrunk to nothing, without volume this will die, falling back into its downtrend.

Does it have Coal Seam Gas? :D
Sharetrader has traditionally always overlooked the solid performers, that some might consider "dull".
If there's a buck in it, it's worthy of comment!

Starting to buy a few stocks Shasta....haven't heard you mention Sigma before.
GRD...tough game at the moment, but a lot of the mining contractors are having a good run none the less. Got my eye on one or two stocks in the sector, but waiting for the prices to come to me a bit.

Me thinks the T/O of .55 is somewhat opportunist..given the seemingly robust amount of work/contracts being completed."They" require S/H holder approval..they wont get mine.
Under two years ago Transfield was unsuccessful at $2.75..so the directors decided...now .55 cents is fine ?.
Not having at hand any shareholder stats etc..it is probably a done deal however.

Another name was in the air as well. WOR I think.
TSE has since came back to earth since their T/O offer for GRD and so has GRD.
With Packer SEV owning 12 percent of GRD, I wonder if he will accept? I bought 2 days ago for a higher offer that might or might not come.

In the announcement yesterday from GRD, it simply mean goodbye GRD from Monday trading next week. It seems a done deal.
That 12 mil shares bidding at 54.5 are from AMEC. Why not buy them on-market for a little discount.
