Let me calculate PSR for MVP
Shares on issue about 56millions
Price is $ .305 ( 13th May, 2008 closing price)
Expected Sales for FY2008 is around say $ 9Millions ( Assumed based on half yearly : $4.3 Millions)
Price/Sales Ratio = MarketCap/Sales = 17/9 = 1.88
PSR Outside the criteria of < 1.
We will be preparing the list of stocks which have less 1 PSR.
Excluding resources/gas/mining/mining services related companies.

Hi N2006 - (being called "newbie" must be wearing thin after 2 years?)
Low P/S stocks off the set of small caps I track include:
CKL = 0.49 (packaging)
KLM = 0.23 (electrical)
PBP = 0.99 (pharma)
UMS = 0.47 (call centres)
However, I think you will find that most cases of low P/S are explained by some combination of low margins and or high debt. I have chosen to leave off that list companies that were too debt stretched or predicting falls in earnings.
I sometimes screen for P/S<3 with Pr/NTA<3, as this combination weeds out the high debt versions and doesn't produce quite such a concentration of the financially distressed/low margins/badly run companies.

It looks like you read Ken Fisher's book. Anyway ITD looks good.
P/S ratio is a blunt tool. For some companies P/S of 1 is extremely high. Ratios less than 1 indicate the company has potentially low profit margins - i.e. more prone to make losses in bad years. It also indicates the possibility for a highly competitive environment. Look at CLT.

Was looking for an AVS thread to note the demise of AVS (never fond of them). This thread made interesting reading though - real mixed bag performance.
