How about Lloyd Morrison, from Infratil...

Infrastructure & Energy are very topical, & he's always generous with his time, like all decent Wellingtonians :D

I agree that given the general turmoil we have seen, someone with a bit more of an overview might be interesting. What about Brian Gaynor of Salvus? He is managing an NZX portfolio which seems to be keeping ahead of 'the market' with interesting selections like NZO, MVN and WDT.I would be interested in you asking him to give a 'state of the nation' commentry on his current major portfolio selections.

i would like to hear from allan bollard,
he always has to make formal non-biased speaches, so an interview that relates to his opinions and personal view points in relation to his responsibilities as reserve bank governor would be informative and enlightening. As would his thoughts about weighing up his choices regarding the level of interest rates in order to balance the buisiness and private sectors of economy and society.
i am always interested in the tickings of a man who has so much responsibilities.

I imagine that while he is the RB Governer any public comments he makes will have to be in the typical conservative fashion.

Oops got my wires crossed a bit here! Andrew Couch manages Salvus. (Brian Gaynor manages Milford Asset Management).

How about Corin Dann from the TV1 NZI Business show.

I agree that he does a good job on the Business show but where's the value in interviewing a TV presenter/interviewer?
My preference would be Brian Gaynor, still arguably the best analyst/commentator in NZ. The fact that he writes a weekly column for the Herald may rule him out. In that case I would go for Bernard(?) Hickey, Botherway, or Fran O'Sullivan, in that order and depending on availability.

;)

PS: Yankiwi - Wecome to the forum!
