Why you think they undervalued?

i.e. what price would be representative of such value?

Zyreon Dude,
I've done a bit of research thats what makes me think that they are under valued ....

Just like the research you did on Strathmore, RMG, Pure NZ, Spectrum etc .... in postings in the past?

They sure were undervalued, weren't they too? [xx(]

According to my crude figures - I wouldn't publish them if I wasn't half-cut (Explanation elsewhere) my numbers come up with the following in order with the best first.
RNS
BWY
THL
PVO
PPP
NZX
PGG
STU
TPC
NGC
DPC
TEN
CDL
ZIN
PMN
Ihave no idea who most of these companies are and with the exception of PGG, I do not hold any shares. If I had a lot of money to invest then Iwould start at the top of this list and work through it. The names came up purely through an equation I have devised for my self to assess companies.

Roaddog, o guru of the penny dreadfuls, why your interest in what was Strathmore, the company behind Kachingo? Do they have holdings other than Global Online?

Abdab dude i like the look of MTG Media technology there was only 4,777,283 MTG shares that were issue to Strathmore shareholders
The companys operating deficit after tax for eight months ended 31 marh 2004 was $2,495,000.Revenues for the period were$3,351,000 of which $3,010,000 was generated from the company's digital media and online fulfilment activities in the months of february and march 2004 ..
Media technology looks good for the long term and looks like a good business ....

Not a bad result overall in one month. Now all I have to do is refine the equation To find out why the losers lost etc. Or better still - what did I miss when picking?

Roaddog, had a quick skim thru the MTG financial reports:

(Amounts in 000's)

MTGs deficit from continuing activities was 2,685 which included a 2,243 goodwill writeoff. The business still does not look profitable when that is added on.

Operating cashflows for the period where -495 on 2,850 reciepts.

What suprised me was that 2,532 on the operating cash outflows were payments to suppliers. I would have thought cds/dvds would be pretty cheap. Seems to indicate a very low markup/competitive market...

Anyone have any thoughts..?

Ask Roaddog to comment on DF Mainland and DF Mainland convertible notes.
Heck, ask him to comment on a whole heap of DF Mainland sponsored issues over the years where only DF Mainland made money (and still went broke). [}:)][}:)]

Thanks for your info guys. The interesting thing about the lists is that they are quite diverse, which either shows that there is a lot of value to be gained in the NZ market, or that it is very difficult to analyse ;)

I have the likes of MET and NPX on my watchlist, and the F&P Siamese Twins. More for their long-term growth prospects than any lack of current value. But I guess we all have different criteria for assessing these.

Placebo

No use having MET on a watch list. I started buying again 2 weeks ago at 2.25, & mentioned on other thread how they were out of sync with RYM. RYM this morning still going, at 2,80. MET climbing. Why watch? Due to announce within 2 months.
