Miner posted something recently about a virus, which I hope and suspect he has sorted out by now on the basis of his comments.
I just today have had a problem also but do not know if its vursu related or not.
I was notified by Notrons its time to update my virus data which i said yes to. But the nortons anti-virus hung up on me and the stats told me that there was no data definitions. Weird, condiering I could do a scan using the data updated last time a few weeks ago. I then decided to bypass Nortoins and download the data manually from Nortons. Update was successful but nortons still says no virsu definition data. Strange.
Have I got a virus or is one of the Nrtons files corrupt somehow due to me shutting down the Nortons update after long period of no response?
ps. Everything else works ok thus far. No weird things except the occassional hang of the system which I did not have B4.
greenie you are in aus - here in kiwi land all emails can be routed through the ism - no more virus - try the same over there - but remember we are ahead of you in terms of technology so you may have to wait a year or two- lol

I am not sure what you mean by "all emails can be routed through the ism" could you fill us in with some details?
Thanks

I ran my Norton's Live Update to check if there was a problem.
The downloaded Data difinitions went OK- no problem- I only had one update as I regularly keep mine updated.
Cheers

this service through xtra ( telecom) is free - hey i dont need nrton - although i think i need Tanya at the moment !!!!!!!!!!
back in 86 act was a quiet government place - no gays to speak of at least none out of the closet - i suspect c9 was a quiet gay if you know what i mean then - he is out in a big way now and recently emailed me to mention he is in the pink short brigade in the next sydney mardi gras- buggered if i know why he would email me inprivate to tell me that - i am not gay - i guess his Japenese boy has had enough - i cant blame the poor buggerer
c9 also mentioned the pink fabric he is using is made of the latest space age material - highly conductive and when he gyrates his hips it causes all sorts of electrical problems in the nether regions - nuff said - poor boy - oh well i guess his over bearing mother is to blame - mrs lamb - lol- i think her first name is "ewe" - yuk yuk - and dad is "ram" - i am surprised he wasnt named chops .. or "rack of" lamb - can you believe this guys name "Warner lamb"- warner being named after the cartoon company - -imagine the ribbing /roasting - lamb - lol - he would have had at school
greenie -good to see that you might be coming over - has c9 propositioned you yet ??

ps - greenie if you did get the original virus from c9 - alias warner lamb -then quickly scrub all infected areas - cross your fingers and promise never to have any thing to do with lamb chops again'

I'd be careful about not having an anti-virus program, xtra virus scan only checks emails, a lot of stuff comes through web pages now days, trojans/worms etc in the form of cookies
You leave yourself wide open without some sort of protection.
My 10c worth anyway:)
ps love the banter
Cheers Slam
