Yeah Nest, I've got a bit of stuff I could post about this moo cow company...;)--MOO being Monto Minerals, a mineral explorer, primarilly focussed at present on the Goondicum Crater Mineral Sands Project located in Queensland--about 100km westish of Bundaberg Qld.
Their stated aim, is to produce around 234, 000 tonnes per annum(glad I'm not carrying it!!)--of ilmenite--now for all the chemistry tables specialists out there--what is ilmenite??? and ditto for the 90,000 tonnes of apatite?? and 6000,000 tonnes of feldspar??? per annum...and,.as this could involve a shot at the free hit at the $64, 000 qstion--if you could also go to your key-pads--and lock in for Eddie, after the 'break, the answer to: What's the stuff used for ?? Calling all minerals and fossils experts please please HELP !!!
Currently as an explorer they of course are a a speccy company--so tralalala...not for meeee...!!! as return on capital, return on assets, earnings per share, estimation of revenue and profits, is very much NON-EXISTENT--NIL--ZERO-- only "blue sky" predictions rather than quantifiable and verifiable emperical fact.
My first dictum:(see my quote on Profile) is: Rule Number 1: "Never lose money" ,and I like Rule Number 2 even better of course, which simply states:: "Refer to Rule Number 1."
Look; seriously, nest...I would be Very Interested in what piqued your interest in this Mining Explorer--with a Market Cap of $21 million and 275 million shares on issue...and; interestingly some decentish volumes of private moneys trading through and quite decent volatility--if your into volatility that is--and there's possibly a good yarn and even maybe a decent story attached to Moo Cow bec. in the last 12 months the stock has risen in value by about--30%--having coming off highs in December--which if they were re-visited--would add another tidy 25%- 35% or so, on top...potentially... to the portfolio.
Note, that yesterday: 7/7/04--, all 4 Directors exercized their options on MOO ...so who knows, moo cow might be the next Rocket Stock, but most importantly--nest, unless you definitely KNOEW something everyone else does not--and its not just a tip or rumour from a "alleged" expert or broker.... in 99% of cases IMO, this is usually purely known best; and only by the "insiders"--with, and in the co--and its backers; and so not for those who crave not to lose their Capital at all costs, and under any circumstances....give me that coveted marfin of safety every time please...You can probably see which is the category I happen to fall into!!
Nest, tell me more about your interest in the MOO !!
Regards,
Robbo.

it is a wet and boring night so I had to look them up. I presume the main target is the ilmenite with its titanium potential
cheers Boris
and feldspar, they also don't seem to have too much trouble getting lots of monetary backup from large places. thats seems to be a good sign for new adventures. say someone knows something to me...anybodyelse????

Cash flow looks the biggest problem. They keep needing to dig into investors money. But in some aspects they also look like they are positioning themselves in key areas. Very much spec at this stage but I still got a couple of cents in this one just in case
thanks for the positive feedback, i think so too, although as the deliveries go out and it proves its worth its only a matter of time before the orders start rolling in. a bit bouncy until then. we'l see

After months of stuff all happening, there has been quite a bit of activity for this penny dreadful.
This company lacks the liquid stuff but have progressed nicely over the last couple of years in their development.
Could be one for a short term gain.

If any of you want to invest in ilmenite then check out RIO's latest announcement. They appear to have abit of the stuff to mine. Won't get the same returns if this one flys though aye ;)
I looked at this thread cause I liked the code: MOO!
