Another great piece of business reporting from Deborah

Seeing nobody but themselves
http://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/news/article.cfm?c_id=1501241&objectid=10634436

The point is do we have people with these traits running listed companies in NZ or in charge of finance companies that take public money

Basic fundamental analysis .... know who is really pulling the strings (or contolling the cheque book) and if show any signs of what Deborah points out stay away from that investment

Probably a few like this around

Common sense really

Good one Deborah ..... jeez your interview with Tiger could be really brillant ... hope he gives you an interview

I enjoyed that article too. Deborah definitely seems to understand narcissism.

Deborah definitely seems to understand narcissism.

It was a trait exhibited a few years ago by a certain journalist who bucked the trend and named the policeman who shot Steven Wallace before he went through the court process ... "because she could"...

Do I consider this in FA?...yes, when I use FA....

Usually a Narcissist CEO channeling those so called "bad" narcissistic qualities into improving that company in a dog eat dog environment is a very valuable intangible asset and can be labeled a hero by society if very successful (EDIT..and may at risk create a generation of "me too" type of managers labelled by society as "strong men"). Was Rob Muldoon one a strong man? ohh yes by some and a pp** by others

A Narcissist CEO in a charitable trust or public funded company environment? ...Nah..Labeled a prizeprick (**pp)... the quicker they get the axe the better.

Narcissist CEO's are often needed in certain situations. The most famous Narcissist of them all Sir Winston Churchill... an asset during WW2.. very ruthless..p1ssed a lot of people off.. but got the job done quickly and efficiently at the time of need ... but during peacetime after WW2 he was a huge political liability.

Narcissists often surface during crises when the hard decisions have to be made...the big question doing the rounds at the moment is.."Is Obama a narcissist?
