I have heard roomer's that the National bank is going to go through an IPO. Has anyone else heard this? any more details?.

If ASB did a IPO, Willy will buy many shares and be happy.

Would holders of anz shares be offered to buy more as part of the 40% float before they would be available on the open market?

Actually, at the moment I am thinking about buying more anz shares. As far as my knowledge (not much) of TA is concerned:

-the trend is unbroken for over three years now
-the share is just breaking through the 20-day and 100-day MA
-slow stochastics turning
-share bounced back after touching the long-term trendline
-volume up

As for the future scenario:

Anz now owns nab. Competition in Australia amongst banks heating up with the influx of oversees players entering the market. As a result of increased competition, more take-over activities and mergers.

Time to buy? Your thoughts on this would be welcome.
