HI all,
To date I know of only Vtrader and elZorro that reside in Hamilton.
We had the inaugural Hamilton ST meeting a number of weeks ago, both leaving with smiles and a new freindship. Was it the beer? was it the location? was it the ST discussion?
We had such an enjoyable time we thought it appropriate to extend the greeting for our second meeting, you are all invited to the Lyndon Court Chophouse at 6pm on Wednesday 23 June (Smith and Mackenzie, or the old Chartwell Cobb and Co) for a 2 beers meeting. An informal meeting on the way home from work, no preparation required and post meeting homework is optional. Last meeting core discussion was OGC, a nice outcome. Any suggestions for a topic this meeting...
Reply to the thread, make yourself known, see you there.

Hi there Vtrader,
Do you think we can smoke out some closet Hamiltown sharetraders? Are you sure that bar is big enough for us all?

Perhaps we should give the staff there some advance warning..I remember you had already got started on the drinks before I got there..
I have some stuff to do at Fieldays, but should be recovered by then, so I'm in for sure. For those who don't know about it, National Fieldays is a huge ag show, 140,000 visitors through the gates. It's a major calendar event for Hamilton, well worth a look.
Topics? as I mentioned V, I'm having a look at FPA longer term. Still very keen on OGC, and thinking we didn't do too bad.

Hi
Admitted closet Hamilton member.
Elwood,
How many steps in the programme...? Step 1 is denial, and I see you are past that. Jump straight to step 5: acceptance, and we may see you at the next Hamilton meeting

V, I'm happy to provide a platter of nibbles or two from the bar on the night.
Re other attractions: did you organise the gumboot throwing competition in the carpark? We might have to put your more risque ideas on hold until we get a few more names..:D
Hamilton, where it's happening..
HamiltON
Event City
and other great slogans that we must live up to..
I think we could afford this famous Hamilton Band: labour charge is very low. Good background music for our meeting V.

C'mon, the Tron, we know there's a few more ST's out there :)

It is indeed a good idea to have Hamilton meetings. Thanks for getting the ball rolling. While I rarely post, I do read the forum regularly and learn a lot! I certainly hope to attend. Cheers.

If you throw the gig on a Saturday you could perhaps get some out of towners to attend.

I would be unable to make it to Hamilton for a weekday meeting, but if it were to be held on a Saturday afternoon/evening I could be very tempted.
I have been know to visit the "dairy" one floor below the central city ten pin bowling lanes in Hamilton every now & then. I've also been able to source one of my American soda favorites, A&W Rootbeer, at a grocery distributor in Hamilton. That alone has sent me off on the trip! :D
Strat, is that you on the lead guitar in the youtube video?

Acceptance is a big step, maybe the support meeting will help. Weekends certainly easier for me and have been know to regularly partake of an ale at Smith & McKenzie on a Friday after work.

Seems there is interest in a saturday afternoon get together.
I can organise something here if there is interest, suggest perhaps early-mid july?
Recommend those interested post a preferred date, we may all be keen.
We will continue our june meeting as posted, Lyndon Court Chophouse at 6pm on Wednesday 23 June

V, sounds fair enough, there's usually a bit of chopping and changing with these meetings. Maybe some would like to suggest other venues too, for later, so we get around town a bit. I used to enjoy going to Uncle Sam's and Pigeons (guess the era?) :)

Sounds like my era - late teens, early 20s around the middle of the 80s - good times had at all thos eplaces as well as Govenors.
Mid July meeting would be good.

Yes, I could possibly also make a Sat arvo/evening if a meeting were planned for this time, providing I'm in the country.

Hello V. and Aspar13 (et al?), see you there at 6.00. I'll organise a platter for about 6.10 or so, looking forward to it. There was a bit of interest in The Trons band: believe it or not, I know the guy who created it, he's already been to Germany with it.. Too short a notice for this meeting, maybe later..we Hamiltonians know how to party..

Another casual ST meeting in Hamilton, Wednesday 8 September same time same place as last time.
Time: after work. From 5:30-6pm for an hour or so...
A few little wagers to be settled in pint glasses of beer, I am sure of a few laughs, and some enlightened discussion.
An warm invitation to ST members, if you missed the last meeting, address is the Smith and Mackenzie ChopHouse, Lyndon Court, Chartwell Square.
See you there
V.
