CRFU says 6000 of 35000 seats still available for SA test
"ticket prices range from $42 in DB stand to $80 for a covered seat in No.3 stand".

As much as I believe that test matches are 1st class entertainment and should be priced accordingly, I can't help but wonder whether we are losing the egalitarian factor that makes NZ rugby so special and has it given it the support base which has made it so great over the
years.
If $80 is top price there must be plenty of $60 tickets which I think is a bit greedy[V] - sure it'll probably sell out by Saturday but the demographics probably won't fit for the young and the not so well off. There won't be too many disenchanted Warriors fans and their kids (our future player base) there - NZRFU misses out again. In fact the dicks at the NZRFU should be giving us a few free tests considering they let the Aussies have all the games at the World Cup!:(
Our stadiums are too small and there's too many corporate boxes(even they are bloody good if you're inside them).
Anyway I'll get down from my soap box now.

Yeah I agree Macks. I went to the AB's versus Islands game and the cheap seats on the terraces were $40 adults ( which is OK) but $25 for children. Usually a bunch of families have a bbq here before the game then trundle up to watch. This time most didn't as with Mum/Dad and say 3 kids it is the thick end of $170.

At Eden Park they usually have a family area which is low down but makes it affordable for those who want to take someone under 16. It is tops and the kids love it (they get freebies which Dad usually taxes just so they get used to socailist governments:D).

I think they should always set aside an area for families at all games. These kids play and support on the sidelines Saturday mornings and their parents invest in the game at that level. They cannot afford high prices and just love seeing their heros live!Their Mum and Dads are moderately keen too[:p].

Give the CRFU a ring and share with them your thoughts. I did up here.

Cheers

PS North Harbour for a semi final place THIS year[^].
