Most of those with an Xtra e-mail account have probably experienced problems with their mail occasionally disappearing to spam and eventually develop a habit of checking it regularly. Usually it contains a selection of splatter marketing dross. However, on my most recent check, I discovered an e-mail from Forsyth Barr had made its way there. Apparently this is not uncommon for them, although I don't recall ever having had a problem. The contents of the e-mail did make me laugh though:
Recently you may have experienced delays receiving email communication from your Investment Advisor or contact person at Forsyth Barr. You may also have found that correspondence you were expecting did not arrive at all.
Unfortunately this issue was caused by Yahoo!Xtra classifying our communication with you as SPAM. This is frustrating for both you and us, and tested our respective patience. We believe the problem has now been resolved.
Oh dear. Perhaps they had better re-send that by post...
