I see another NZ co is soon to become fully overseas owned. No less than the company that made the brown ale brewed at Mangatanoka and sold by the crate that I use to drink in my younger days!

So when will Speights be next?

I brought some of these just in May last year for $6.55 as a bit of a punt, so with divvies I'll be up 50%, sweet :D

Yes foodee you are right, trendy is probably one of those Otaagooo boyz who doesn't realise his Speights is now brewed in Auckland ;)

Actually some of it is brewed down South but you need to read packaging carefully. Speights is under Lion.

Took them long enough after many years of waiting and failed attempt at a t/o. Shame I dont have any shares.

At least it seems the news was kept under wraps. Normally not the case with a lot of the takeovers where the prices seem to move up before the news comes out.
