Tracker has mentioned she is watching this one, so thought Id have a quick look.
* In the graphs below Ive scaled out the explosion in volume from back in April 2004.
* It seems to have turned nicely at 4c
* Volume is steady, so nothing fantastic on that point yet
* Its moved above resistance at 4.6c, which is a good sign (and now 4.6 will be good support)
* Mintor resistance "should" occur at 5.1c area .. but after that ...5.7/5.8 area.
* The upside potential is possibly around 7c mark

support level did seem to be ok
1 particular broker was vey aggressive on the close,i sometimes buy a little early, and then if need I have an opp to hopefully (if trade deosnt work) to get out around cost
now that 5 cents was taken out(by that aggressive broker) I feel better and in a comfort zone, I dont always wait for all tech signs to come in , I sorta rather use my gut, which is what i did in this case
tracker
hope that helps
ps I liked who was buying
just noticed I posted this under the wrong code sorry all and thatnks TK for the reply

now I am nervous, cracking a beer and neglecting all my children

Multi-metal focus gives promising junior plenty of allure.
Wednesday, August 04, 2004
AIM Resources has come a long way in the past 12 months. From a moribund Australian base metal explorer with a lack of projects the group has emerged with strengthened management and a raft of platinum and base metal projects in Africa that have the potential to build the company into a mid-sized mining house over the next three-to-five years.
AIM first recaptured the market's attention with the announcement in October last year that it would buy 100% of the Mokopane platinum project in South Africa for $4 million. That was followed by another agreement to take a 77 % interest in the Mooiplats platinum project for $3 million. Both properties sit within the eastern limb of the Bushveld Ingneos Complex, which in turn holds 80% of the world's platinum resources and accounts for more than 60% of platinum group metal production.
It's pretty sexy stuff - a company capitalised at $27 million chatting about its new stakes in a commodity that was recently selling for $US900 per ounce, and AIM potentially has 11 million ounces of the precious metal with the prospects to discover a further 15Moz.
But wait there's more! At the time ResourceStocks went to print, AIM had just announced a new wave of projects to the market. The first announcement was a deal with BHP Billiton and South African listed Metorex to purchase for $US1.1 million the Peroka zinc-silver-gold deposit, 125km west of Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso in West Africa.
Additional work is required at Peroka but according to Metorex, the mine has a non-JORC (Joint Ore Reserves Committee) resource of seven million tonnes grading 17.6% zinc, or about 20% zinc equivalent when gold and silver credits are added.
It is of sufficient size to establish a mining operation of 750,000t a year over a nine-year mine life. The cost of building such an operation would likely be somewhere north of $US50 million – no small ask for a company the size of AIM, but not in the same league as the hundreds of millions of dollars required to get the platinum operations up and running.
The big test for Peroka is whether or not the project can overcome a lack of infrastructure such as cheap power, water and transport to produce an economically viable and bankable feasibility study.
Hot on the heels of the zinc announcement was a joint venture agreement with BHP Billiton to explore the Mumbwa copper/gold deposit in Zambia. AIM can earn 70% of the project by spending $3 million over the next four years. If certain targets are reached BHP has clawback provisions to regain control of the project.
Drilling by BHP has shown a 6km strike length at Mumbwa and encountered substantial mineralisation, somewhat reminiscent of mineralisation found at world-class orebodies such as Olympic Dam and Ernest Henry in Australia.
It is early days for Mumbwa but any development would start in the tens of millions of dollars range and could head up well into hundreds of millions of dollars. Somewhere down the track AIM is going to require substantial, funding.
AIM managing director Marc Flory is a realist and knows AIM is going to need European investors, institutions and the support of the buyers of the company's end product to move from explorer to producer in Africa.
Flory, who joined AIM in June last year, said: "AIM has already raised $4.38 million from European fund managers and high net worth individuals to fund the Mooiplat acquisition and expects increased interest from European, United States and Canadian investors as it advances its African platinum interests".
Flory said the next step was to get AIM a listing on the London Stock Exchange's global market for smaller stocks – coincidently called the AIM. Flory also plans monthly newsletters and regular investor road shows to heighten awareness of the company both nationally and in

Why do you post that article here? It says at the bottom that I don't hold any shares.
I regularly post articles without having any shares in the mentioned stocks at all. About 95% fall in that catagory.
It is a service I provide because I know some HC people have these.
So, beware that I don't always hold shares in the mentioned stocks.

looking at the AIM chart, I see nothing to get excited about.
imho, at best it looks like a risky short term trade...resistance at 5.7 was tested but not broken.

"You said: oh but stolli you did refer to that stock didnt you, you did make that post as stated

I don't defend the "workload". However, on HC there are not just traders who grab other's ideas, make money quickly and then get the hell out of it; on the contrary, others furnish websites, articles and offer comment. And of course that makes it a successful site.
I do note that you have the HotCopper AIM article here. No doubt you have read it and now you are trying to trade. A risky stock BTW.

72 MILLION SHARES ISSUED AT 4.8C ...reason for drop in SP
DILUTION AROUND 15%
420m + shares on issue and a few oppies thrown in ...excercise price ranging from 4 to 10 c on or b4 mid 2006
Should have around 520m fully diluted shares on issue by then unless they issue more in the next financial yr....Alot of shares on issue compared to their opposition companies
Looks like production scheduled for feb 2006 and revenue expected at 100m US
Not sure of cost to produce as yet...

Key points
Has exercised option to purchase 100% of the high grade, World Class Perkoa Zinc Project (7.06 million tonnes grading 17.7% Zn) in Burkina Faso.
Owns +1 million ounce Mokopane PGM Project in South Africa.
Joint venture with BHP Billiton in major Copper-Gold Project in Zambia, where new aerial survey data is currently being interpreted.
Listing on the London Alternative Investment Market (AIM) on 21 March 2005.
Owns 10.2% of Discovery Nickel Ltd (ASX: DNL) from asset spin-off.
I see discovery nickel made a positive announcement yesterday....DNL
might buy a small parcel and see what develops..looks like a typical junior IMO with reasonable upside if the directors are on the level ..lol

If you actually look a little closer at the Mokapane project it has a town on top of it....and the grade is not high enough to go underground
Perkoa also has some challenges.....

Finally found that their is an existing forum on AIM. Watson, you still holding any of these?
BFS due soon. Certainly not without difficulties but if positive a big re-rating is in store. I have a small parcel.
Closed at 6.6c today, uptrend continuing and good consolidation around 6c. Technically looks very nice. Given a BIG MOVER STATUS by Catherine Davey.
Looks ok, any comments?
"highly positive BFS"
DJ MARKET TALK: AIM Resources Rockets 26%; Zinc Link
1111 [Dow Jones] AIM Resources (AIM.AU) soars 26% to 7.2 cents on heavy turnover of 34 million shares. Fueling gain, "highly positive feasibility study results" from high-grade Perkoa zinc project, Burkina Faso. Indeed, study estimates net present value of project at 38.6 cents/share. AIM plans to bring mine into production, currently negotiating offtake agreement. Global zinc market currently at multiyear highs, with many analysts saying this will continue for some years, based on robust global economic growth, shortage of zinc concentrate. Given NPV estimate, AIM could press higher, though investors likely less than impressed with project location. (RCB)
