Looks like Air NZ got off lightly from the Crowdstrike failure? Anyone know if they use it?

Jetstar, Delta and other US airlines not so much.

It is back to normal and the SP should not be a problem just matter of time. - Long term

The good news is the interest rate going to be cut soon. - Medium term

The index will keep uptrend, NZX50 needs some blue chips to lead, AIR NZ 100% for sure will go up for a while. - Short term

Well they come out with the bleeding obvious statement today, anyone with half a brain could have told them that a year ago it would not work..

    It could be seen as…

    First half EBT 185 mil.
    EBT full year 222 mil
Therefore EBT second half 37 mil.
Less 90 mil Covid breakage credit
So…. effective EBT second half - 53 million dollar loss and probably still losing 8 million a month.
    Still paying a dividend????.

Rex's Boeings were leased from from Virgin(underarm bowlers division).

With the crash landing of Rex's main trunk service these aircraft will boomerang back to Virgin.

This raises the prospect of them being employed to cross the ditch.

The recent sweet heart deal between Virgin and Willis Airlines where Virgin points members will receive rewards for flying Willis airlines suggest the above scenario is not likely.
