Kiwifruit marketer Zespri is eyeing up a move to the New Zealand stock exchange (NZX).Zespri is currently listed on thUnlisted Securities Exchange (USX), but its chair, Bruce Cameron, told shareholders in its monthly December update that strengthening grower shareholding of the co-operative had been a focus.

Read an article somewhere …got the impression that only growers can be shareholders anyway
And there was a comment that with all the additional disclosures needed for a full listing it’ll bring out the ‘key board warriors’ to analyse all the good and bad stuff.

Yep, only growers can be shareholders currently. But if lining up a NZX listing, then only reason must be to widen their shareholder base. Maybe A & B shares or something similar??

But basically not for outside investors. To help unshared and under-shared growers.
There is a comment about them coming under scrutiny from "keyboard warriors".

Kiwifruit marketer Zespri is unlikely to shift its listing to the New Zealand stock exchange this year, saying its wants to give itself “adequate time” to consult with its shareholders.
Last year, Zespri, now listed in the Unlisted Securities Exchange (USX), told its shareholders that strengthening the grower shareholding of the co-operative had been a focus.
They may want outside capital by the time they list next year.....
