    DIRECTOR: POD: Pod Limited Resignation

    Pod Limited

NOTICE TO THE NEW ZEALAND EXCHANGE AND MEDIA RELEASE

    Thursday 6 October 2005

Pod Limited has announced that its Managing Director Mark Bilton has resigned
    from the company effective today.

Chairman George Gould said that Mr Bilton was leaving to pursue other
opportunities having achieved his goals with Pod.

Mr Gould said that Mark Bilton will leave Pod in very good shape having
transformed the company into the sales and marketing organisation it is
    today.

"Mark leaves Pod with the directors' best wishes," Mr Gould said.

As from today Mr Gould will assume the position of Executive Chairman until a
    permanent Chief Executive is appointed.

Mr Gould said that it was "very much business as usual" at Pod, with the
company continuing to build its businesses, with particular focus on existing

I had this on the Tiger radar for a while. But I am not expecting great things over the coming year.

POD (formerly Designer Textiles) made a fantastic recovery from their low of 20cps. I got nervous when a two managers left at the same time and sold out at around $1.12 (from memory). Seemed dumb a few months later when it soon hit its highs ($1.70+).

There will be another run at some stage - maybe worth valuing again.

Lizard: With Bilton gone I worry about the Gould factor. Purr-sonally (sorry!) I think the new management needs to prove itself.

Well, my nominal valuation was $1.37. However, having said that, there was plenty of downside risk to that, especially in the short term. The 2005 accounts gave a fairly weak impression looking forward and would definitely not consider buying before HY result or further profit guidance.

Oops. Profit guidance = $0.5m operating profit...

This will not be a "buy" for some time I suspect....

SP got hammered yesterday, down from $1.05 to $0.75 and today has shed a few more cents.
"But I am not expecting great things over the coming year", turns out to be a little understated.

Somebody has been mopping up these against the flow the last two days. If they stitch together a recovery in margins, there is plenty of upside in the valuation. Might be worth a look if anyone has time.

To ensure that something happens: I had a look not long ago, and came to the conclusion that it was best left alone until they get themselves sorted.
I see nothing particularly exceptional in the charts yet.

Seems to be capturing some interest the last couple of days. I don't rate them highly as a growth stock, but I do rate them as a recovery/value play at these levels. My valuation is 84cps, but high risk until they signal a bigger profit. Good to see the CEO purchase recently.

POD went ex-bonus issue on Friday 10 Nov (approx 1 new share for every 2.49 held). The effect was largely a distribution of imputation credits which would have been beneficial to anyone on a less than 33% overall tax rate.

As a result of this issue, my valuation falls to 62cps.

Anyone who bought when I made my last post (at approx 53cps) would have done well on paper, as current bid at 49cps is equivalent to pre-bonus price of about 69cps. But liquidity and spreads make it hard to buy.

With todays announcement, it looks like POD (previously DTL) has gone full circle...
