Alkane Resources (ASX: ALK) has received final approvals to proceed with its large Dubbo Zirconia Project (DZP), paving the way for the company to now secure offtake agreements and carry out its funding strategy.
Alkane is a multi-commodity mining and exploration company with a focus on gold, zirconium, hafnium, niobium and rare earths.
The Company has a profitable, operating gold mine (Tomingley) and other highly prospective projects within close proximity of each other in the central west of New South Wales.
ALK recently announced plans to raise up to $16 million from investors to progress the advancement of Dubbo Zirconia Project (DZP) through to receipt of project financing funds.
The DZP is a $1 Billion project and currently Australia's most valuable rare metal/rare earth project.
Australia produces only a very small proportion of the world’s rare earth supplies and the DZP aims to open up an alternative stream of rare earth materials outside of the dominant Chinese market.
The DZP will produce a strategic and alternative supply of zirconium, hafnium, niobium (tantalum), yttrium and rare earth elements to the global market.
The ability of the DZP to provide long term sustainable security of supply of a diverse range of over 20 critical metals and oxides is steadily gaining traction in a difficult market.
