Default Why do we have to apologise for fighting in a war?

So, the Taliban killed a NZ soldier and we counter-attacked and killed 9 of theirs.

    Where's the problem?

No problem I feel proud. I dont believe these 9 were bad. But I do beleive they were fighting on the side of bad. There is no black and whites in war. But in this war we have good versus evil. In this cause we have 9 souls who died in the pursuit of evil. Not for us to determine thier souls. Like the Nazis they are on the side of evil and this was one for the good guys.

Its a matter of perspective. You and MVT have, I feel, succumbed to the propaganda and reduced the issues to levels you feel comfortable with (or dare I say it: can understand). ... If it really were about good vs evil, we'd not just be in Afganistan. We'd be in a plethera of other places where the atrocities (evil) are far, far worse.

We should be in a plethora of other places where evil rules, knocking the b****rs off.

North Korea where the regime is starving the people to death, Zimbabwe, Syria, other places other people can probably nominate.

Yet if one soldier from a democratic country is injured, bruises his little finger, the lily livered liberal media is in there like a pack of hysterical hyenas demanding withdrawal.

Do the democracies, as in the appeasement 1930's, even have the will power to defend themselves, under this moronic onslaught?

Some people never learn. Belge has been banned before for ad hominem attacks, in fact I'm surprised he has been allowed back.
"...the issues to levels.....you can understand".

Does Belge know either DragonZ or myself? No. Does he know what our qualifications are, our IQs, our life experiences? No.

Why then the automatic, knee-jerk, rottweiler/bull terrier personal attack?
Why not just debate the issues?

No Belg I feel its you who has succumbed once again to your narrow world view and part of that is to try to redicule those that dont agree. I suggest you watch a movie called Kandahar written by an Iranian director. Or watch the stoneing of Afganastan teenagers who only crime was to fall in love. Remember it was this stone age culture that allowed Bin laden to stage war againt women and children whose only crime was they where born in the United States. Perhaps we should once again allow cannibilism in this country. But according to your aguement we should stand back and do nothing because "other places where the atrocities (evil) are far, far worse" .

I agree that in many cases there are no defined black or whites in a issue, just multible shades of gray. But History has shown us that there are examples of pure evil acts. And Aghanistan lies in this region just like the Nazis.

At the moment you seem like the ignorant fool. Perhaps you should change your call sign to minto

I dont mind Belge with his 5000 odd posts being allowed to continue. It brings to life the old adage of "It is often better to keep you mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." Belge has certainly removed all doubt a long time ago.
