I had a quick look awhile back . It just finds you the best rate that you could find on interest.co.nz. I think you still have to go to that bank and open an account etc if it's not your bank.

Thanks Slimwin, thought that might be the case, just a bit unwilling to "join up" and then get loads of unwanted emails. Have used the interest.co.nz site for several years now, and always found it good value.

Had a quick look and the amounts and timeframes i entered ; tried to compare them to ANZ offerings for ex. But the ANZ hours later was still downloading its rates so that was that. Will look at interest .co.nz too cheers
