Does anyone have any thoughts on the email today re: Provision of Financial Assistance in connection with Genesis Energy Limited's Employee Share Scheme?
An interesting note in the document "the employees will be awarded one genesis energy share for every two shares acquired and held in the employee share scheme subject to meeting certain criteria"....
It looks like the cost of this award shares is $400,000 per year...
Whilst I do like the idea of encouraging employees to buy shares so that they are more aligned with the company the discount seems to be a tad high? or have I missed something.

The share price closed at $2.43 and the shares were bought at $2.42 at some time in the recent past. Looks like the employees paid market price to me. Or have I missed something?

I must have misunderstood the document ��.
I thought that if an employee buys 2000 unit of shares they will be given 1000 units for free?

Your are correct. But there is a limit on the number they can buy, and conditions that must be met, like staying with genesis for 3 years, and certain performance hurdles that must be met.
