Picked up by the Australian media - here’s Hipkins trying the Cindy’s trick of lies, BS & spin to deflect from his COVID role of making vaccination compulsory.
No wonder that Karma has visited him with his COVID infection heading into the last 2 weeks of the election.

“In terms of the vaccine mandates, I acknowledge that it was a challenging time for people but they ultimately made their own choices. There was no compulsory vaccination, people made their own choices.”
“New Zealand PM is now blaming NZ citizens for taking the mandatory vaccines to keep their jobs and feed their families. These people are sick,” said Australian political commentator Rukshan Fernando.
Independent journalist Maryanne Demasi wrote, “It literally states in the dictionary that a ‘mandate’ is ‘compulsory’. Politicians are trying to change the meaning of words.”

What a disgusting lie by Hipkins. But Labour is a party full of liars, Jacinda "be kind" Ardern being the worst of the lot. Add in the Greens, with James Shaw committing fraud by lying about his university qualifications (why hasn't he resigned?), and that's the Left for you.

Shaw changed his LinkedIn page to read “ I studied full- and part-time at Victoria University from 1991 to 1994 but did not complete my undergraduate degree.”
But he got his degree from Bath

1) Changing his fraudulent linkedin profile means nothing. And that wasn't (isn't) the only place on the internet that lists Hipkins' imaginary bachelor's degree. He has committed fraud; he doesn't get out of it as easily as removing the fraud from his linkedin.
2) How did he get a master's when he doesn't have a bachelor's? The most likely method for him to enter the master's program was to lie that he held a bachelor's. He refuses to allow the university in question to release information on this, for "privacy" reasons. There is no such thing as "privacy" for a caught-out liar and regarding his qualifications, because he is a public figure, a politician, it's in the public interest.

The media won't pursue this story as exposing Shaw for the fraud he is would see the Greens lose a substantial part of their 'Teal' vote, right or centre leaning people who are in a lather over climate change and NZ's 0.17% share of global emissions. Every election Shaw is wheeled out to appeal to these types as the 'moderate white guy in a suit' wolf in sheeps clothing. The media will not touch a story which would see the 'Teals' go elsewhere and end Labours long-shot hopes of forming a coalition.

Now that Hipkins himself has disclosed his 'new' partner, Toni, let's examine what kind of a hypocrite he has showed himself (yet again) to be.
Exhibit 1 : January 2023
"Earlier this year as Hipkins took over from Ardern as prime minister, he publicly revealed his separation from his wife, the mother of his two children.
Hipkins said he and his wife had decided about a year prior to “live separately” in a decision he described as being “in the best interest of our family”. The explanation, which he characterised as his “final comment on the matter”, formed part of his plea to New Zealanders to respect the privacy of his wife and two children.
Hipkins’ comments about his marriage at the time appeared to be prompted by what he called the “Wellington rumour mill”.
Exhibit 2 : January 2020
Hipkins had no hesitation making available photos of his wedding - it suited his political purpose.
