They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I thought I'd start a generic photo thread.

Post anything you like. Pictures of something funny, something relevant to investing, your favourite toy, something you saw recently, a picture of your gorgeous wife, a hilarious snapchat from your drunken mate, a shot of how your tomatoes are coming along or a picture of yourself 30 years ago fishing in your stubbies. Anything you please.

Don't be shy!

Here's one to start off. I was fortunate enough to be on a flight past Kaikoura and saw this. Seemingly there's a giant plughole there.

Obviously photo was taken from your helicopter.

Unfortunately the chopper was in getting it's 100 hour. So it had to be taken from a Martin Jetpack someone was playing around on :)

This one of my Favourite artists, brilliant concert at the Auckland Town Hall in September (shame about the venue sound vocal wise) - If you like Blues that rock - i.e. the British version of the blues, this is your man (IMHO plus a couple of others I know)

Very nice Xerof. His poker face is really coming along too.

Where exactly did this occur? Precise GPS coordinates would be fine. :p

PS Moosie is a bit nervous....

Very impressive Miner! What happens when you put the battery in?

This is doing the rounds on bookface at the moment. While I doubt its accuracy, it's funny anyway.

IMHO - photocopy of joint (possibly an elbow) next to another earlier photocopy. Probably in a crude attempt at imitating a base copy of another part of the male anatomy.

It appears to be an unshelled peanut, and I guess the dick who did the photocopy is of comparable size:eek2:

The strawberries are a lot more healthier looking I must say.... and probably less bipolar too. :)

That a national geographic quality pic (and they were the best). Placement of the fisherman (in one third of pic) and late /early , warm, low angle light and shutter speed are spot on. QUOTE=Grimy;524683]6643

Thanks for the appreciation of the photo. I find I usually get a good one about every 1 in 500. Thank goodness for digital cameras! Although the days of film did make you spend a lot more time concentrating on setting up a good photo in the first place. My sister has not long switched to digital and still composes every shot as though she is paying for the film. She has a much better strike rate than I do-digital has made me lazy....
I don't play around with my photos (apart from the odd bit of cropping), A/ I haven't got great software. B/ I've already said I'm lazy. C/ A good photo is a good photo-if it needs much fiddling then it wasn't taken right in the first place.
The place we stay in Tonga is going to use this one on their website.
