What is the equivalent of a 10-K in new zealand or aus for that matter?

From wiki (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Form_10-K), A Form 10-K is an annual report required by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), that gives a comprehensive summary of a company's financial performance.

I fancied doing some light reading :), and wanted to know what the equivalent was in NZX.
My aim is to try and value a company. I am only starting out on my investment journey so not sure how I will do. I can't imagine it will be riviting stuff, but I am willing to have a go.

Or should I just get the annual report from the comany I am interested in looking at? example here for Augusta or Spark.

Applecrumble, I have owned one US share directly in my own name for a number of years. In the annual report dated 2008 (covering the year ended 31st December, so the report was actually issued some months into 2009) the format changed. After a few introductory glossy pages, the numerical data was reported in "10-K" format. I presume this was done to satisfy the SEC requirments you refer to above.

By co-incidence (or not?) this was just after the time of the GFC. So my guess is that a standardised reporting format was introduced in the US so that all companies reported their operational statistics in a methodical 'tick the box' way. IMO these 10-K format annual reports are a bit ugly, but I guess they are functional. AFAICT, 10-K simply refers to the format of the annual report of NYSE (at least, not sure about NASDAQ) listed companies. Every NYSE annual report I have looked at after 2008 has been in this 10-K format.

The NZX and ASX equivalent of '10-K' is simply the Annual Report.
