Index or share selection on the ASX

I have reviewed my share holding of a selection of mainly blue chip shares over 5 years and have not need been able to match or outperform the index of the top 50. So to simplify matters should I sell and buy the index or use LICs like Argo and AFI.

Personal preference .... Only ETF I'm keen on is BEAR.ASX .. think we will see a big correction before the year's out
