The prospectus reveals the first trading numbers for HotCopper, showing it recorded a doubled pre-tax profit of $820,000 in 2014-15 on revenue of $2.15 million, almost entirely derived from advertising...

So can Hotcopper grow their advertising without pissing of forum members ??

Not a investment I would be keen on ...

In my experience, hotcopper has a ****ty UI, overloaded with advertising and has members who tend to push their own wears and follow sometimes questionable investment practices.

I am absolutely sick of that place and now frequent Aussiestockforums.com.au as my main Australian go to. Highly recommend.

H/C caters to all types of investors and i for one couldn't do without it and have made some great friends who I'm in contact with regularly. One needs filters in place to eliminate the irrelevant immature ego noise spruikers though. Will check out aussiestockforums thanks levin.

I'm a miserable git but I had a good laugh when I got an e-mail from them that they are listing.

Flicked through the prospectus out of curiosity. No bluesky story at all, seems like a selldown. Good on the owners but my personal thoughts about the forum aside, not investment grade.

Loved this line "HotCopper is also used by Australian listed companies as an investor relations tool"
