Heard these guys on National Radio this morning, sounds interesting. They are a tech company in the field of AI and machine learning with (it appears from their website) a focus on network/hardware capability/capacity and planning (http://www.aria-networks.com/products/overview/). Current clients they claim to be big accounting firms, they help them make sense out of complex and voluminous data. Fairly bleeding edge stuff.

They are planning on an NZX listing soon, hoping to raise $50m in capital. They was talk of Diligent founders/investors being involved. They said they were more interested in NZX rather than others because NZX has a history of supporting tech startups (or some such). Reading between the lines, it was hard to see if this was their real motivation (I think Aus would be better?), maybe they all just decided they want to move to NZ together!

Would be interested in learning about their products more and looking at their books. Seems like they have some pretty heavy weight science guys in their line-up, looks very promising. http://www.aria-networks.com/about-us/board/

But like all startups, particularly tech, buyer beware.

EDIT

Iceman picked up below I pointed to the wrong company. I don't know why you would name your company so close to another in a similar business in similar industry based in the same country. Its like having a company named Microosoft based in Seattle that makes alternate office software!

Further info about the offer and timetable information here: http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/BU1612/S00096/timetable-and-progress-to-new-zealand-and-australia-ipo.htm

Suggest any potential shareholders study their history well before investing. Shares listed at GBP 1 in December 2013 and now trading around 1/6 of that. Not saying don't invest, just DYOR very well

I hate to say it but buying a tech company at IPO is a recipe for loosing money. Best to wait until the company has got some runs on the board and have gone thru all the capital raisings reqd before they make a profit.
PEB,BLT,PLX to name a few.
Problem is of course is that if everybody takes my view than there will be no startups.

Read what's available online and also those interesting comments on the NBR about this. Gut-o-meter says the name alone sounds like pain giving indigestion.

Suggest Tim Hunter's article in the NBR on Saturday 10 December is a must read for anyone interested in this company. By the way blobbles, your link is to a different company. The company you talk about is ARRIA NLG, not Aria Networks.
Here is a link to the correct company https://www.arria.com/

Good pickup iceman! I will put an edit in my first post (as its the entry page), to ensure confusion doesn't rein!

Superficially, looks very interesting. I generally steer well clear of tech start-ups but will have a look at this if it gets to IPO. Unfortunately, this sort of thing is eventually going to put us all out of a job, so may as well have a slice of the tech.

- just read the NBR article: sounds a bit grim... but still kind of interesting...

I suggest that you stop shouting and actually read the article. NBR is hardly left wing! Hunter is an astute journalist and has outlined clearly both the positive and negative aspects of their pasts. He also doesn't offer unqualified financial advice, which in my opinion your post does.
