Ok. Ill pick bill english as temporary Pm. The bigger question is who will be deputy. That will be the PM in waiting.

English will steady the boat over the next election. Then i think we will see paula bennet as PM and stephen joyce as deputy (taking over bill englishes role)

This is the Bill English who put in a worse performance in the 2002 election than David Cunliffe in 2014?

Worst National result at an election, ever? That Bill English?

Of course. There isn't another Bill English. Great minister of finance - hopeless leader though. Still if Labour leave Little as leader then there's no contest.

Perhaps - but as i said it is a transitional role in 2017. Cant keep looking in a 2002 rear view mirror.

Looks like you haven't come across the apostrophe key on your computer either.

She'd certainly be Labour's choice, I think.

Little for sure and Bill failed miserably last time.Great for Labour and Little.Key deserted his party after the convincing Labour by election win and left a sinking ship, looking after no 1 of course.

Are you suggesting a leader should run right to the wire, then announce he or she is going? That would be ridiculous, although with current state of Labour, providing 'Little' opposition it swouldn't matter. The risk that Key no doubt saw is that they will find a new leader before the election; like Stuart Nash who is busting his britches for the main chance
