I believe Fairfax financial will counter offer the $1.30 that Vero is offering. I think they may offer up to $1.50 The SP is now $1.32, so perhaps some in the market think offers may be boosted. Prior to Fairfax entering the fray, the SP must have been well oversold after bad news and results. However, from an investor's point of view, how do you assess risk/return for a shareholding in a NZ insurance company post Kaikoura/Wlgtn and ChCh earthquakes?
