We are now getting a few policies and details. This one is really scary as it is proof labour simply have no idea.

A passenger rail service linking auckland, tauranga and hamilton. $10m goes to initial capital funding. Another $10m over 5 years to operational funding.

To put this into context approx $156m is going to be spent on the 13 cycleways around christchurch.

He was the only one to ever get them profitable. Then along came National's Ruth Richardson and sold them - never again to make a dollar.

Hard to tell, are you a rail and transit expert MM? What is the net cost over five years to the same Auckland/Hamilton/Tauranga roading system from overloading, damage to tarseal, traffic jams, accidents, some of which may be curtailed by the use of light rail?

Light rail, Auckland-Hamilton-Tauranga? When did this get put on the policy platform????

Heavy rail more like it. Using existing infrastructure.

I think elzorro means rapid rail - once demand justifies it.
