Based on the idea that the electricity industry as a whole is going to make money each year, even though the spread of earnings will vary from year to year.

GNE may have a drought issue and not make as much as normal, but MEL will make money on selling to GNE.

VHP you may laugh but I have held these since 89 cents and I think I may have collected more in dividends than my initial investment. I know there are management rights issues but the dividends just keep turning up every quarter like clock work
