View Full Version : OVENTUS OVN a real competitor to FPH and RMD

Joshuatree

Oventus has reinvented itself with great improvements and efficacy for its Oventus O2 Airway Technology. This presentation tells one why it is superior to expensive mask systems (CPAP) that FPH and RMD use which have high drop out rate.Sleep centres and Lab in Lab simplifies the referral process.

"Traditional US patient referral pathway
The “silo-ing” of dentists and sleep physicians makes the patient journey complex and creates conflicting economic imperatives
• Patients present to their family doctor with symptoms
• They are referred to a sleep physician
• A sleep test is performed in a lab or at home
• They return for a follow-up consultation with a sleep physician
• They are referred to a durable medical equipment supplier or CPAP reseller for a CPAP trial
• 35% of patients refuse a CPAP trial
• • •
• •
20% of CPAP trial patients will not move forward with a CPAP
50% of the patients that move forward with CPAP abandon treatment within the first year
The patient returns to the sleep physician or GP requesting a prescription for an oral appliance
Patient returns to the dentist for fitting of an oral appliance
Patient should be referred back to the sleep physician for follow up?

"During 2018, clinical work undertaken through the Federal Government-funded CRC-P, ‘NeuRA trial’ led to three significant discoveries in the area of sleep medicine:
1. The ExVentTM valve – inserting this valve into the ‘duck bill’ of Oventus’ O2VentTM device improves efficacy for those patients who need more intervention
2. The O2Vent ONEPAPTM valve – clips into the ‘duck bill’ of Oventus’ O2VentTM device and acts as a mini CPAP valve without the need for cords or power
3. The O2Vent ConnectTM CPAP connection will connect the Oventus O2VentTM device to CPAP, enabling CPAP to be delivered at lower pressures, without the need for a full face mask
These unexpected product discoveries, Oventus' ExVent valve, OnePAP and O2Vent Connect, represent the most significant improvements in sleep medicine in over several decades."

The S/P has doubled plus for me very quickly (I had a buy for some more at the top of the Q on tuesday and left and went and looked at an EV Nissan leaf, when i came back my bid had been buried!) and it looks like things are going faster than the company expected as well. So their cash burn may have accelerated and a placement/ cap raising may be close.

Heres the most recent presentation (3rd one in a few months). I plan to sell some RMD and FPH and buy more of these. Not a recco, DYOR

Strong recovery to 57c since 38c cap raise RRR. It still is a punt atp, need more orders , sleep centres onboard and momentum to continue. Sure is a crowded space but OVN have a lead, a competitive advantage over other mouth pieces atpit, just need to watch closely imo.

Normally share price plummets after I buy, but this one has gone up quite a bit! FDA approval is no small feat and the reason why I decided to buy. Total revenue was only 240K last year and this year my forecast is 1.5 million. 5.1 million cash in hand as of March 2019.

Market cap now is 112 million as I type!

Decision time - buy more or sit tight?

Running too fast ,flying too high! Re 85.5c atm!. Luckily i got set early so in my situ im holding on for the ride .Im not thinking of adding, free carrying or taking some profits YET ,because there is such strong momentum here.

Need more sign ups.I do wonder if a big player is building a position.
Ive seen a spread sheet with a guestimate of over $4 mill rev 2019 increasing to $12 mill plus in 2020 based on US$700 per unit (retail $1500), 4 sleep centres signed up per month with min 20 orders each p/m etc.

130,529,717 shares on issue.
At 35 cents per share the Market Cap is $45.6 mil.
Revenue for the December quarter was $112,000.[note a small toy shop would have done more in just December].
Expenditure for the quarter was $3.15 mil.
So current expenditure is 28 times revenue.
Therefore a lot of future revenue is being built into the share price.
Whether or not OVN can get the revenue the market is expecting, only time will tell.

How will we disrupt the OSA market?

DOH! Arrrgh! Groaans. Did i get sucked in on this one, you know when you become a believer, You jump at a cap raise, you trust the boss and only much later after believing him just one more time you realise youve been a stool pigeon, no a stupid risk taker,no a naive being, or just a sucker for something new and exciting(kinda) and you feel kinda empty inside, hollowed out at the deceit, the stated like a certainty spin, you know all those upbeat announcements and that thing you cant quite grasp; well you believe chris when he says it has stopped moving and is sitting , shining, waiting just around the corner, success.

But the s/p keeps going down, kinda numb mesmerising and you finally bail and the relief hits you, especially when you see it carry on down another 5cents or so, PHEW!.

Then you realise you can buy something similar a boil in the bag mouthpiece for a couple of bucks on Alipay or Alibaba which you could prob adjust, whittle a bit of here and there with your pocket knife, buy a few to make sure.
You may think im stale and a grumpyXholder.... you'd be right:t_up: A wonderful lesson learnt here, reset my investment/risk/reward settings.

A fairly impressive Staffing bill for their reported revenue

Loss per share = NTA per share in the last report

At this rate of Cash Burn / Losses being racked up a CR may be expected unless a miracle
